similar to: can delete files but not overwrite

XFS file system, SAMBA 3.0.0 with acl enabled, kernel 2.4.21. Users can create files, can delete them but can not overwrite them. what should I check to see whats happening here? thanks! greg

Hello all ! I get the same effect when mounting nfs-exported directories from dom0 in domU. Every mount/umount/showmount command in domU produces the message in the dom0 syslog. Hello, I want to configure a Samba server to serve as an "archive" where users would be allowed to read, write new files, but not overwrite or delete them once they're there. Hello, I have a problem which is that some of my VMs are loosing there IP addresses from time to time. What I saw in the log is when this VM loose its IP address there are DHCPREQUEST send from the VM by dhclient and the server responded only 50 minutes later !
