"Using Samba" adopted as official Samba book
The Samba docs just improved by a huge leap. O'Reilly have released "Using Samba" under an open content license. They have sent me the full sources for the book and I will be working to get it formatted to be useful as a good online resource as soon as I can. Within the Samba Team we have decided to adopt the book as the "official" book for Samba. We plan to keep it up to

[Fwd: RE: any possibility of Vonage Integration]
I stand corrected! However you do get my point ... The bigger the company the worse it is. Having to deal with these guys is a nightmare. The company that brings me out in spots is Rogers Cable (24/7). They have this electronic air-head called "Gertrude" or something, (an android) who can't understand the word "NO" and has trouble with "YES" (actually like my

Nested Data
I currently have a database with a table called bookstores. Within that table are columns such as bookstore name, city, state, and zip code. Missing TMP folder - Dovecot 1.2 Beta3
Recently after upgrading to 1.2 Beta3 from 1.1.13, I started to defer mail. After looking into it deeper, it looks like Dovecot/sieve now asks for a tmp folder in the imap (maildir) folder. Once I added the tmp folder as the logs indicants, the mail was processed normally. I have split my Inbox and imap store to different folder. Looking at what it's trying to do, it looks to me that

Model Validation - with a twist
I''m stuck in a catch-22 type problem. I have an insert form for a table that uses the validation in the model. i.e. When you click submit on the form and haven''t filled in the required fields then you get the nice rails error messages saying "field can not be blank". This works fine until I introduce some more logic. What I''m trying to do is to validate
