Hi all, I'm running Samba 2.2.7a on RedHat8.0 with LDAP (latest RPM from redhat) Well I configured samba to act as a PDC with LDAP following IDEALX recommandations. Everything works fine BUT the password change, I cannot change the passwords from the Win2000 or WinXP WS, it always says that the password or username doesn't match .... Of course it matches, I tried too many things to

Hi all, I'm tryint to turn my ANOVA result from anova(model) in to p values. The default output is: term ; Df ; Deviance ; resid Df; Resid. Im using an application called saturn for my university assignement. The problem is that it fails to fully operate under linux with wine. If im not mistaken the application works like this: Satwin is the windows front end that calles *.bat files that are part of the suit saturn. While wine loads the satwin front end perfectly it fails to execute the *.bat files that are part of the saturn suit.

I'm in the middle of Samba 3.0.9 ==> 3.0.14a migration testing. Because I'm using newer tools, I am also using a newer verions of the Samba LDAP Tools. My older version, 0.8.4, used the 'mkntpwd' utility to generate NT passwords. The new version, 0.9.1 defaults to using (what looks like) a Perl module called Crypt::SmbHash. Hello! I was looking around for a solution which would allow me to un-forward already locally forwarded port but had no luck. So I decided to try and add it myself. I remain unclear regarding Samba and LDAP. It appears that mkntpwd is required to generate a viable sambaNTPassword and sambaLMPassword attribute values. But I believe I read that the current incarnation of smbpasswd can accomplish this. Lastly, when utilzing phpLDAPadmin, do the NT and LM password fields contain the values generated by mkntpwd? -- Raymond
