How do we make the administrator account have administrative priv's locally on the client PC when they login on the DOMAIN? What is happening now is that when the Administrator logs in it just makes a domain accoutn for the Administrator locally but this new account does not have actualy administrator

Samba 3.0.9 SUSE 9.1 have a semi-working point-n-print server working, however when I try to add the drivers for a BROTHER 1850, windows explorer seems to crash and then when I try to edit the properties I get a protection fault error I can successfully add the printer (right click CONNECT) to other machines, but it doesnt print and it just fails with properties dialog as well thanks --

Do you have to enable encrypted passwords for smbpasswd to work? I have yet to enable encryption because I wanted to test everything first, but have enabled 'update encrypted = Yes' so that this will update the smbpasswd file. I also have 'unix password sync = Yes'. However, I cannot get smbpasswd to change the passwords, either by user or root. Any suggestions? Carey
