How to join Linux to Win2k PDC
Hi All,
Sorry for asking the most repeated question again. Just because I could not get a proper guide for doing this. Can anyone please tell me how to make a linux system running samba server and client to connect ( log on to ) to a windows2000 based domain and act as a part of it ? Any useful link also would do.
thanks in advance :-)

all.vars for nested expressions
Dear R fellows,
Assume I define
a <- expression(fn+tp)
sen <- expression(tp/a)
Now I'd like to know, which variables are necessary for calculating sen
all.vars(sen)
This results in a vector c(tp,a). But I'd like all.vars to evaluate the
sen-object down to the ground level, which would result in a vector
c(tp,fn) (because a was defined as fn+tp). In other words, I'd like

Error message in R: stack imbalance
Hello...
I just installed R version 1.4.0 on my laptop running Redhat Linux

I have used on other Redhat systems, I get the following error

R compilation error on Solaris
Hello...
I tried to compile an R addon package, R/qtl on a Solaris machine and
I get this error. I know that R/qtl complies correctly on other
platforms (Windows, Mac, Linuxes, etc), so I am wondering what the
problem might be.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Saunak

Confidence intervals for Sen slope in zyp-package
Hi,
I have a question about the computation of confidence intervals in the zyp package, in particular using the functions zyp.sen and confint.zyp, or zyp.yuepilon.
(1) I'm a bit confused about the confidence intervals given by zyp.sen and confint.zyp. When I request a certain confidence interval in the function, the R output seems to deliver another confidence interval, e.g. when I set

No, As it worked fine before.
I can't see the #if that goes with +#elif defined(__WIN32__) as you
removed -#if TARGET_OS_MAC.
Please go over your #if / #endif blocks and trail the #endif with a
comment. I am willing to bet there is a problem there.
Thanks for your time,
Edward.

Read many cvs files
Hello R helpers,
I would like to automate this code for many files of the same type. But I
don´t know how to make it. In particular, i don´t know how to read many
files each one as an r object with the name of the file. Then a for loop
would be sufficient, right?
Many thanks and a happy new year.

[LLVMdev] Publication Generation of TLM Testbenches Using Mutation Testing
Dear all,
I would like to share a paper I co-authored with Prof. Alper Sen. This
paper describes an algorithm to generate testbenches from SystemC
models represented with LLVM IR. It was accepted and presented at
International Conference on Hardware/Software Codesign and System
Synthesis (CODES/ISSS), 2012. A link to the paper is accessible from

[LLVMdev] Transparent LTO on Mac OS X
I'm confused. libLTO takes bitcode files as input and creates a native object file as output. Why would libLTO create bitcode as output? If so, you're changing the existing API contract. Or are you creating an out-of-band bitcode file, in which case the linker would never see it.
ld doesn't have bitcode support, it has libLTO support, and libLTO is what processes the bitcode.

I am making some use of ROC curve analysis.
I find much help on the mailing list, and I have used the Area Under the

wire.frame tick labels from matrix
Dear R Users, close to the end of this I used wireframe to create a 3D plot
from a matrix. The x and y axis tick labels (1-6) for each were created
from the matrix being a 6X6 matrix. I need the axis tick labels to be the
row and column headings which you can see in the output (mat.x). I have
tried several work arounds, but they have not been successful.
Thanks in advance. keith

Sen's slope - fume package different output than zyp or wq
Hello,
I am trying to decide which package to use to calculate the non-parametric
Sen's Slope for identifying trends in rainfall data (determine the slope
between all pairs of points and take the median of those slopes). I have
found three packages that output Sen's: "zyp", "wq" and "fume". The
outputs of "zyp.sen()" and "mannKen()" from
