similar to: Samba PDC + XP: still not solved?

I'm trying to use my samba as domain controller and logon-server for my WinXP-client. I can see all the shares, and get access to them using user/password, but when trying to join the domain, it fails with "The specified user does not exist", even though it does. The server-log says "smbd/server.c:exit_server(458)". Can anyone help? ---------------------- Martin Burheim

Hello to all, After a lot of trying this is the solution for all with samba 3.2.15 installed. My Windows 7 client machine joins the domain on the fly with this registry hack.
