Hi! I am seeing other users with the same problem as I have. My samba also fails to add machine accounts. It seems to me if it didn't even try. If I use some other script (pdbedit, smbldap-tools) than smbpasswd it manages to add the account but still fails to authenticate within the same session. Dear all, i have a problem with sssd in conjunction with ldap on a centos 7 x86_64 box. ldap works fine. I can login there as an usual user registred in ldap. I see that samba4 will have it's own LDAP database. How will the support for OpenLDAP be? if anyone knows. Will I have the option to use OpenLDAP still for all the new features so as to be able to use current apps that use OpenLDAP already? If anyone has info regarding this, it would be appreciated.
