But I believe I read that the current incarnation of smbpasswd can accomplish this. Hi folks, We are using Samba 3.0.10 and are using OpenLdap to manage users. We are also usign PAM to track the users on the computer. The problem that we are having is when Samba has the "encrypt passwords" option is enabled, we recieve an "session setup failed: NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE" message.
