smb.conf problems causes net groupmap to fail
Hello, I just thought I would post this since it may be helpful to others if they run into the same issues I did. I am using Samba 3.0 with openLDAP 2.1.23 as backend db on a Slackware 9 system. This is purely a test system that I need to test at home reliably enough to put into production in a school system. I was getting error messages when I went to run samba/bin/net commands. Couldn't

Winbind not quite working yet
Hello, I'm trying to get Winbind to authenticate users that don't have local accounts on a SAMBA BDC. I have (3) BDCs (1) PDC running OpenLDAP 2.1.23 pass backend and Samba 3.0. These are on RedHat 8.0 systems. 3 BDC are also slave LDAP and 1 master directory server on the PDC. I went through the Samba documentation CH21 and made modifications to the BDCs and PDC as follows:

problem.(since Samba will then look at the standard passwd file) But I am looking for alternatives since having unencrypted passwords flying around the network causes too big of a security hole. Is there a way I can make an automated script that will sync the NIS passwd database with the smbpasswd database for all users? 50% of the users won't use their shell account on this machine, but

Help Running am-main.pl Perl/CGI on Apache Server
Hi all, I've installed Asterisk on Linux Red Had 9. Now, I was trying to set up a GUI based system for the PBX. I downloaded some packages, but I have to have Perl running CGI scripts through the webserver. It does not allow me to. I am able to run a basic script that just just prints out html messages and nothing else. However, when I try to run am-main.pl or config.pl or any other

[LLVMdev] llvmc: Can't find program 'llvm-g++'
I am getting this error while using the command "llvmc -O3 -Wall hello.cpp" where hello.cpp is some cpp file on my machine. llvmc is the driver calling a bunch of tools like llvm-g++, opt, llc etc. I think the llvmc tool could not probably locate the llvm-g++ tool. I would like to know where should I specify the path to llvm-g++ for llvmc to find them. Also can someone give me the link

Merging multiple data sets
Hello R user, I have four data sets in dir "D:/Bharat Warule/Rdata_file" which are output_data_prod_1.rda, output_data_prod_2.rda, output_data_prod_3.rda, output_data_prod_4.rda. Each data set is huge size like number of rows 343297 and columns are near to 50. For example: x1 <- data.frame(x11=c(1,2,3,4,5),x112=c(10,10,10,10,10)) x2 <-

[LLVMdev] Instrumenting C/C++ programs
The patch file is a diff file generated by "svn diff". It is about other modifications such as adding some lines to make files to make the added .c and .cpp files compiled. You may apply the patch file to LLVM source code by using a "patch" command or make the changes manually by reading the patch file. Xiaoming On Wed, Sep 28, 2011 at 6:05 AM, Himanshu Shekhar

Problems running samba in vmware
I have used samba for nearly 9 years with no problems and we have about 20 users. In the past we have had a dedicated samba server. We have recently virtualized this server to a quad core Q6600 using vmware virtual server 1.0.4 on a 64 bit host running ubuntu 7.10. As part of the virtualization I installed samba 3.0.26a in ubuntu 7.10. Since this has happened users have complained about

[LLVMdev] Issues with running the LLVMHello Pass on Windows
Hi, I was trying to write a LLVM Pass, so I first read http://llvm.org/docs/WritingAnLLVMPass.html#quickstart about how to write a llvm pass. Here, under setting up the build environment settings, it was instructed to configure and build LLVM directly inside the LLVM source tree rather than in a separate objects directory. Now, my LLVM source tree is C:\LLVM\llvm-2.9 while my build is in

[LLVMdev] Instrumenting C/C++ programs
Hello guys, I am trying to know how clang generates AST from source code. But it is not clear for me how clang generates it. Can you tell me which class or function of clang is building/generating AST? I want to see the specific function or algorithm of clang which generates AST. Thanks in advance for your idea. [LLVMdev] Instrumenting C/C++ programs
Hello, What you're describing is basically the parsing and codegen portions of clang. I'd suggest reading through the code there and posting to clang-dev if you have any specific questions. The clang devs are more likely to see your questions there as not all of them also hang out here. Regards, Jim On Sep 28, 2011, at 8:28 PM, eyasu getahun <eya.get at gmail.com> wrote: >

Longitudinal data with non-randomized subjects
Dear List, I have a theoretical question related to epidemiological data analysis: If the treatment status (tx = 0,1) changes over time for the patients in a non-randomized cohort, is there a way to estimate the treatment effect? (i.e., after joining the study, some patients may have to wait for a period of time before receiving the treatment, i.e., the situation of patient with id == 2 for the

[LLVMdev] Instrumenting C/C++ programs
Hey guys, I have seen your interesting conversion. I am new for LLVM as well as clang compiler. I am going to use it now. it is quite difficult when someone starts it from scratch. But it is enjoyable and it is possible to familiarize with the environment by short time. Am gonna to use clang + llvm to generate AST from source code by using clang and to do high level transformation. Then I want to
