I received instructions to modify include/includes.h to change the #include <compat.h> to #include <compat_ap.h>. Needless to say, this solved nothing other than a bunch of harmless warnings. It also caused a different warning to spew forth eternally from gcc, and more importantly, it

-all-static problems when linking apps which require -lpthread and -lc
Hello all, I used to use fully statically linked PHP, which I build into RPM using own-written spec-file. I need to do this as there are a lot of boxes with old linuxes (RedHat 6.2, 7, 9) which I can't upgrade to CentOS3/4 right now for a several reasons I don't want to explain here. When I've been using CentOS 4.0 and 4.1 - there were no big problems to link PHP as static executable

Compile error with kerberos and samba
First I compiled kerberos 5-1.2.5. Ater that I configured samba: ./configure --with-smbwrapper --with-krb5 --with-automount --with-smbmount. So far all goes well. After that I 'make' in the samba/source dir. An error pops up, displayed below. Does anyone know of either a workaround or solution? I can't install samba now!! :( Mark -- This is the error: Linking bin/smbd

Samba PDC + 2K/XP
Hey, I am just wondering how you enforce security (such as permissions) on local workstations while running Samba 2.2.x as a PDC with 2K/XP workstations? As some of us don't have or want 2000 Server to enforce things like policies etc... how do you all do it. E.g. If we want 'Administrator' to have access to all start menu etc... yet standard users to have only programs, no settings

Samba 3.0.25 plugin changes
Greetings, Before I start digging into making our local passdb plugin work with Samba 3.0.25, is there any heads up I need to know about? I tried to compile the example plugin in samba-3.0.25/examples/pdb, but it fails. See below for a sample of the error messages. If I try to compile the same example that comes with Samba v3.0.24, the example code compiles without any issues? Any

Stars! kills X-Server
While playing Stars! wine sometimes kills the X-Server. This happend infrequently in all Versions of wine I tried, but this time I managed to generate a bugreport. I use wine with managed windows, this seems to be the most stable setting for Stars. To start wine I used wine -debugmsg +relay -language De_DE -- stars\!.exe -s -m >& ~/`date +winedebug_%Y%m%d.txt` | wolfgang@erwin:~>

[PATCH 0/5] renouveau: nv30/nv40 unification
This patchset applies some minor fixes to renouveau.xml and then unifies the nv30 and nv40 register definitions. nv30 and nv40 are very similar and have the same offsets for the registers they share. The major differences are: 1. Texture setup is different due to full NPOT support on nv40 2. More advanced blending/render targets on nv40 3. NV30 has fixed function registers, which NV40 lacks The
