Auto update
Hello, at this moment we use redhat and centos on mylaptop. I upgraded from centos 5.2 to 5.3. I have something strange, my auto update is not running any more, if I start the update process manually and it is working. If i do a clean install of centos 5.3 on a pc or laptop it is working. My question is why is the auto update not running any more afther the update process. Met vriendelijke

defaultip= in sip.conf doesnt work?
I have several (various brand) sip devices with static IP's. I understand that asterisk will not accept a registration from these devices if the host= parameter is not set to 'dynamic' in sip.conf. I want calls to these extensions to be routable even before the device registers. I understand that is what defaultip= is supposed to do, but it doesn't work. I get a busy tone when

smb_errno: class ERRDOS, code 112 from command 0xb
Hi. We run Samba 2.2.1a in production and it seems to be working fine. We run it on RedHat 7.2, kernel 2.4.7-10smp. All of a sudden (I'm sure it's for a reason, but I can't tell why), this shows up in the logs: Oct 15 10:36:03 mumbai kernel: smb_errno: class ERRDOS, code 112 from command 0xb Oct 15 10:36:03 mumbai kernel: smb_errno: class ERRDOS, code 112 from command 0xb Oct

smbfs intermittent errors: tdb_lock failed, ERRDOS 71
I mounted //winxp/linuxbu onto to a 2nd new mountpoint called /mnt/buonwinxp. I got same errors as you. So I first verified if password of the //winxp/linuxbu was wrong. ERRDOS message from smbclient
Hi: I'm using smbclient version 1.9.15p8 to do some printing from a Solaris 2.3 box to an NT 4.0 share of a remote Win95 box with a printer attached. Unix <-----> NT 4.0 printer share <---WAN---> Win95 printer share (NT is sharing a share...) ERRDOS - 50 when restoring a tar file
A collegue of mine has problems restoring files that are created with smbtar. I also tried it (using smbclient -T) and encountered the same problem. The tar file can be restored on unix without problem, but restoring them on a PC results in the following error messages: smbclient '\\jaap\temp' -Tx backup.tar Added interface ip=192.93.141.1 bcast=192.93.141.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 Server

smbfs intermittent errors: tdb_lock failed, ERRDOS 71
Hi, I recently upgraded an older box running as a file server for a small company to Mandriva (Mandrake) 10.1. It's running Samba 3.0.10.1, the default Mandrake package. We have a custom script that mounts a Windows share using smbfs, backs up specific directories, and unmounts when it's done. The problem is, it's not mounting reliably. There is an entry in /etc/fstab for the

Do we simply use a portion of the existing disks for this, or add two disks just for root? Use USB-2 flash as those 2 disks? And where does swap go? The default install in Osol 0811 (which is what I just upgraded my home NAS to) gives you a zfs root pool that

xm console -- what should I get?
If I type "xm console 6", say (when I have a virtual machine 6 running), what should I get? The documentation seems to indicate that I should get something that behaves like a telnet to a serial console. What I actually get is a connection that might show me a couple of lines of output that do look like they belonged on the console, but doesn't seem to accept any input (except that
