Listing samba 2.2.8a (redhat 8) verables to a text file
I have been using samba for a while now with great sucesses it has replaced my Windows 2000 server completely, I am using
a mix of windows98, 2000 and XP with no problems.
However i would like to do two things,
1) print samba veriables to a log file in a location of my choice
2) When a windows test user logs on, i would like to display a windowed dialog box showing the verious samba veriable

Access to ShadowCopy snapshots from linux-side
Hi,
I have samba fs server with zfs and shadow_copy2.
Windows clients can see previouse version via File Explorer. Thay have
not any problems, all works fine.
But linux client have a problem.
I dont know any GUI file explorers with accessing shadow copy feature
(thunar, caja, dolphin, ...)
May be CLI tools?
smbinfo list-snapshots it's right way?
smbinfo list-snapshots \\server\share ?

Linux SMB Mount utils patch

I'm sure that you are all aware that the mount utilities that ship
with samba are designed to compile and run only with Linux 2.1 series
development kernels.

samba-4.1.0 build failure -help with
Greetings,
I attrempted to compile samba-4.1.0 on a computer with these:-
--cpu amd64 2 cores
--os blfs linux-3.1.6, gcc-4.8.1, glibc-2.17
I ran configure like this:-
./configure
--prefix=/opt/samba4
( i.e I accepted all the defaults except the installation prefix)
then I ran make like this:-
make
BUT make ends like so:-

upgraded from Samba 2.2.8a to Samba 3.0.0 now mount smbf does not work?
I have upgraded from a almost perfectly working Samba 2.2.8a to Samba 3.0.0, I wished to join my NAS servers to the
domain and it seemed something to do with DNS authentication was stopping them from joining, so I upgraded to Samba 3
(not beta)
I have searched the web for reasons for this stange behavior but could find no explaination or fix, there are however
other people having the same

How limits are set in a scales list
I have a lattice plot that has 4 pages with 4 columns and 8 rows per
page. I wish to have the rows use a separate x-axis since their
ranges are quite different, but I wish to have those same limits used

I need some help with this problem that i have. I want to accept connection from 1 ip address to my linux box, but i cannot telnet the port 139.
I added the rule in rules:

but still i cannot see this port from outside.

prio0 problem
Hello,
Just ran into a weird issue. Debian woody with ernel 2.4.26 from
backports. A htb hierarchy with a class for local originated
traffic, having a bunch of prio 0 filters. All other filters from
other classes use prio 3 to prio 6.
Well, it does not work as expected, there is local traffic that
does not go to that class. Changing filters to prio 1 and it all
works as expected.

the Client it''s me, the R1 router it''s myne (so i can control it), the
