PDC/BDC Questions (fwd)
Cool, thanks alot, I really appreciate your time.
I'm extremely pleased with 3.0.x's stability, I don't think local segment failover is really going to be a huge issue.
Keep up the great work :)

PDC/BDC Questions
Software:
OS: Redhat 9
Samba Ver: Samba 3.0.0 (Plus excel writelock patch, waiting for 3.0.2!)
OpenLDAP Ver: 2.0.27-8
Just a quick question about PDC / BDC interaction, my plan is to distribute Samba (with slave ldap backend) BDCs to remote facilities, as well as have one on each network segment in the hopes of avoiding unnecessary nmb broadcast traffic.
My question is this: Will the PDC /

Samba 3.0 + LDAP userPassword -> sambaNTPassword manual sync?
First, the software:
Samba 3.0.0
OpenLDAP 2.0.27
nssldap / pam_ldap
Redhat 9
This may be more of a question for the OpenLDAP mailing list.. but does
anyone know of a method (perhaps using slappasswd?) to hand-sync userPassword
attributes to sambaNTPassword attributes?
Deploying Samba 3.0 as pdc pretty soon, used Migration Tools on the mail
server soon, and I'd really like to be able to tell

Strong Password Enforcement (Windows-side)
Before I begin, big thanks to John Terpstra for helping me out with my
previous issues.
But alas I have another issue, I need to enforce strong passwords on
windows side (i.e. ctrl+alt+delete change password), minimum password
length, can't be dictionary words, etc. etc.
(Setup is Samba 3.0.0 as PDC with LDAP passdb)

Samba 3.0 + LDAP as PDC
At the risk of having my inbox flooded with another 10,000 Emails from
"Microsoft" proporting the "latest security update"..
Now that smb3.0 is out and about, I'd really like to use it for
authenticating windows users / PDC (With BDC in the plans)
My problem is that there seems to be little to zero up to date
documentation on how to integrate Samba and LDAP, the most I

Ext3+acl vs XFS
Software:
- Samba 3.0 (Stable)
- OpenLDAP 2.0.27
- Windows 2000 clients
I'd like to impliment full-blown nt-style permissions on my existing
Samba (with LDAP backend) server / shares. (i.e. file properties-->
security: different groups / users, with different permissions etc. etc.)
Now I've dug around and found that this can be supported either via ext2/3
+ some ACL patch (anyone got

TE410P -> Dialogic D240SC
Basically, have an old IVR application running under Apex's Omnivox software on a box with 4 old intel dialogic D240SCs, and would like to allow remote clients to gain access to aforementioned IVR application via softphone, 7960, ata, etc via asterisk with a TE410P.
Unfortunately, all I know about the dialogics is that they're configured for D4/AMI, which I believe I have configured right

[LLVMdev] LLVM 3.0rc4 / 2.9: failing MultiJitTest.JitPool on Windows 7
Hi,
I have successfully built a shared version of LLVM (both 3.0rc4 and 2.9) on
Windows 7 using MinGW. From there, I thought I would run the tests located
under unittests (i.e. ADTTests, AnalysisTests, ExecutionEnginetests,
JITTests, SupportTests, UtilsTests and VMCoreTests). All of them pass
without any problem, except for JITTests which fails on the
MultiJitTest.JitPool test:

[LLVMdev] Follow-up questions after successful upgrade to LLVM 3.0rc4
We were successful in upgrading our JIT project to LLVM 3.0rc4 last week, after initially struggling with the various usage and IR changes from V2.9. But we have some follow-up questions:
1) In spite of building and running our tests cleanly with DEBUG+ASSERTS and RELEASE builds, we consistently see a crash when we use a DEBUG build without ASSERTs. The crash appears whenever we use the

[LLVMdev] arm neon intrinsics cross compile error on windows system
Dear all.
I built the LLVM 3.0 rc4 with Clang front-end in windows os env. (also with
-DLLVM_TARGETS_TO_BUILD=all option)
For arm neon intrinsics testing, I tried to compile some codes, which are
included a few neon intrinsics.
Although I got a well done bitcode on ubuntu build pc, it shows some errors
when compile the codes on windows.
Could you let me know why occurred errors? is this just a

Manuplating Queue
Hi,
I am implimenting a solution for a radio station where by calls are
first received by an attendant, who interviews the caller and then
places the call in a queue along with some information about the
caller. The radio presenter can then choose which call to pick up
depending on those in the queue.
My question is, how can it be possible for call to skip other calls
in the queue and be picked

Forcing an ID on all mountpoints
I'm looking for a way to tag my live feeds via an audio announcement every
30 minutes or so using the Linux install of Icecast.
Some of the feeds I control locally, and other feeds are from remote
locations - so implimenting this must be as painless as possible for each
encoding location.
As of now, the best way I can think of to do this is by running 2
instances of Icecast. Allowing the

PDC and dividing roaming profile
I have this problem...
I am working on implimenting a school network. I have two kinds of users on my network: students and facutly. I have also two types of operating system on my network: win 98 and win XPP.
Here is the rights and privilages I am thinking about giving my users
Students (usage only in computer labs):
- limited roaming profile (basically, deny desktop roaming profile)
- give
