client mount fails on boot under debian lenny...
Hi Is there clean way to ensure that a glusterfs mount point specified in /etc/fstab is mounted automatically on boot under debian lenny when referencing a remote node for the volfile? In my test case everytime I reboot, the system tries to mount the filesystem before the backend 10ge interface comes up so it gets a "No route to host" and immediately aborts. I know I can dump a mount

2.4.13
Hi all, I've downloaded the http://www.zip.com.au/~akpm/ext3-2.4-0.9.13-2413.gz file and want to know what to do with it once it's unzipped. Is it a patch file or is it a compiled kernel? I need an ext3 patch for kernel 2.4.13, I then need to patch kernel 2.4.13 with win4lin. TIA Robyn

->journal_info sharing
Hello, Stephen, It seem that in the presence of several jornalling file systems in the kernel some mechanism is needed for proper sharing of the ->journal_info pointer in the task_struct. One journalled file system can indirectly call another during page fault in copy_from_user, quota file modification, or __alloc_pages()->balance_classzone()->shrink_cache()->vm_writeback()

Ext3 compile problem on 2.4.13

[PATCH] Btrfs: proper metadata -ENOSPC handling
This patch finally gives us full proper -ENOSPC handling for btrfs. Now whenever you do a btrfs_start_transaction, you must specify the number of items you are planning to add/delete/modify. The worst case number of blocks that could be modified by changing that number of items will be calculated and checked against the amount of free space in the space_info where the root you are modifying

adding new bricks for volume expansion with 3.0.x?
Hi How does one go about expanding a volume that consists of a distribute -replicate set of machines in 3.0.6? The setup consists of 4 pairs of machines, with 3 bricks per machine. I need to add an additional 5 pair of machines (15 bricks) to the volume, but I don't understand what's required per se. There are currently 4 client machines mounting the volume using the

[PATCH v2 07/11] VSOCK: add AF_VSOCK test cases
Hi Stefan, I'm thinking about dividing this test into single applications, one for each test, do you think it makes sense? Or is it just a useless complication? [PATCH RFC 2/9] console: prepare for non-COMn port support

Content overlapping IE7 scrollbars?
Hey all, I''ve Googled and searched for this answer numerous times, but can''t find it. Apologies if this has been posted here before. I have a frameset in IE7 with a top and bottom frame (I know... frames suck. No choice here). The bottom frame is where all the action is, specifically, a portal with draggable (sortable, actually) portlets. Anyway, I get this funky problem

[PATCH 1/5] Btrfs: fix joining the same transaction handler more than 2 times
If we flush inodes with pending delalloc in a transaction, we may join the same transaction handler more than 2 times. The reason is: Task use_count of trans handle commit_transaction 1 |-> btrfs_start_delalloc_inodes 1 |-> run_delalloc_nocow 1 |-> join_transaction 2 |-> cow_file_range 2 |-> join_transaction 3 In fact, cow_file_range needn''t
