aggregate text column by a few rows
Hi, R function aggregate can only take summary stats functions, can I aggregate text columns? For example, for the dataframe below, > a <- rbind(data.frame(id=1, name='Tom', hobby='fishing'),data.frame(id=1, name='Tom', hobby='reading'),data.frame(id=2, name='Mary', hobby='reading'),data.frame(id=3, name='John',

"context confusion" internal context 2 context only?
I'm trying to create several contexts for extentions with different levels of access to features and I'm wondering how the heck do I include all the contexts so that you can call internal to any extention in another context without giving the features of the higher level context to the lower level context? ie..... [admin] include => local include => longdistance include =>

Safe Harbor Games : Backgammon - Almost works with Wine
Safe Harbor Games (http://www.safeharborgames.net/) is a popular site in the backgammon community. I am one of several people trying to get the game server to work on Linux with Wine. I am using a Asus EEE 1000HE with the latest version of Easy Peasy (Ubuntu) and Wine. The game software requires browser to launch and I was successful in getting this to work by loading windows version of

Bad ringback tone on zap channel
Hi, I've noticed that sometimes instead of getting a regular ring tone when calling out on a Zap channel, I get this obnoxious loud noise which forces me to hang up. Is this a problem in the Zaptel driver? I seem to recall that ringback tones are generated by zaptel when dialing out from a SIP phone over a Zap trunk. Thanks.

Tinc for gaming
Hi, We are trying to set up tinc for playing lan games over the internet. The three of us are running tinc, can ping each other and browse shared folders. yes, windows :| However we cannot connect because we don't show up in the game lobby. The games usually require udp ports to be open, but I think these are all open once we establish the tinc tunnel. Also, testing with all computers in

MoH mysteriously stopped working
Folks, I have somewhat of a serious issue here. My music on hold mysteriously stopped working. I have made no changes to my Asterisk box in the past month and up until an hour ago, MoH was working fine (as far as I know). CLI: -- Started music on hold, class 'default', on channel 'IAX2/lobby-2' -- Stopped music on hold on IAX2/lobby-2 voip*CLI> moh reload voip*CLI> 1

Rails 1.1 hosed my Apache!
Just sharing an experience with you all -- hopefully you take better precautions than I do. :-) I have a few sites built with Rails 0.8.3 that were ugpraded to 1.0. The newer sites are on edge rails. So when I heard 1.1 had come out, I unfroze my new apps, and installed the new gem for Rails 1.1. The sites that was operating on edge rails worked just fine. However, the sites that were working

Hacked
Hi! This happened to me also! I just got a spam email just after posting and then in following days I got obnoxious spam emails in my spam filter. As the others, I think that there is some kind of bot subscribed to the list, but also perhaps a spider or crawler monitoring the R-Help archive and getting email addresses there. Nabble is a possibility too. > On 17 Apr 2018, at 21:50, Peter

I asked the moderators about it. This is the reply "Other moderators have looked into this a bit and may be able to shed more light on it. This is a "new" tactic where the spammers appear to reply to the r-help post. They are not, however, going through the r-help server. It also seems that this does not happen to everyone. [XCP] Import Always Fails
I''m trying to contain my frustration...but I''m wondering if *anyone* has *ever* gotten the Import functionality to work in XCP? I''ve tried several times, and keep getting the same obnoxious and useless error that is absolutely no help to anyone: Failed to Import. I have made sure that the transfer VM is installed (View -> Show Hidden Objects, transfer VM is there),

fwd on busy when calling multiple extensions at once
Hi, I am setting up a dispatch center where will have 4 call takers, all with Polycom IP 600 Sip phones. Each phone will be setup with 6 extensions each. When a new call comes in, the first extension on all the phones will ring. This works fine, the problem is when one of the dispatchers is already using her first extension and another call comes in. What happens now is that the remaining 3

[LLVMdev] frontend support for cross-compilation?
Thanks Chris. I'll follow any ongoing discussion about this. Unless I'm missing something, customizable widths for integer types is necessary to achieve source-level compatibility with existing cross-compilers. It would be great to see the fronend being parameterized by integer widths at runtime. There would be no noticable loss of efficiency and this would avoid the obnoxious and
