Around last weekend, the updated package, gnome-screensaver-2.16.1-8.el5_5.1, came in replacing gnome-screensaver-2.16.1-8.el5. Only after reboot are they able to login again. I've built some CentOS 5.5 64-bit systems straight off the DVD, full installs, and the Gnome screen lock (manually invoked or automatically via the gnome-screensaver) does not allow the user to unlock the screen.
