Thunderbird ignores some folders
Dear readers
we are using Dovecot 2.2.7 and all of our users are using Thunderbird as
their mail client. Some of them additionally use their iPad/iPhone and a
very few an Android Mail-Client.
Now one user noticed that two of his mail folders disappeared. He first
believed that he accidentally deleted those folders but then he realized
that they are still visible from his iPad. I checked this

rpcclient setdriver fails with WERR_ACCESS_DENIED
Hi Rowland,
Thanks very much for your quick response.

I just did and I now feel that something is wrong with
our Administrator-account.
Granting the SePrintOperatorPrivilege to user NAV\prtadmin with user
NAV\Administator failes on our fileserver (INVALID PASSWORD).

Mount and fstab problems with large devices?
I''m trying to get a new file server managed by puppet from day 1, at
least as much as possible. At the moment, though, there''s two issues I''m
running into:
1. fstab should have entries for my comically-large RAID, but doesn''t.
2. each puppet run appears to remount the RAID, even when no rules in
the manifest change.
I suspect the issue may be in parsing

[cae@bklyn.org: Re: Accessing network shares under sshd]
Hi. I'm having trouble mapping network drives from a Samba
server when I login to my machine using the Cygwin SSH daemon
and am hoping it may be something people here have seen
before.
I am able to map Samba shares with no problem from the Windows
Explorer, or a Cygwin bash shell started from my desktop, but
when I login remotely via ssh and try and mount something with

Different versions, different results ?
Dear all,
I wrote the following batch script on a iMac, and ran it on a linux
mosix cluster.
tu <- read.table("cage.mm5.tags.rna_lib.CAA-CAJ.tu-reshape.table")
tu_reshaped <- t(reshape(tu[1:50,], direction="wide", timevar="tu", idvar=c("rna","lib")))
write.table(tu_reshaped, "cage.mm5.tags.rna_lib.CAA-CAJ.tu-reshaped.table")

RE : S3+CUPS+PDF pseudo printer : print command not functional on service
Thanks for your answer.
So for my PDF printer, I switched back to BSD printing (calling cups-lpd), and keeped the local (to PDF printer) print command definition. It works now. I still had to add to cups (which automatically generates the /etc/printcap file) a fake printer with the name of the pdf printer (to avoid the loss of the manual addendum to /etc/printcap for the pdf printer).

sid->username conversion on beta2 as a domain member in a samba domain?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
We run a samba-2.2.x+LDAP domain, and I have been experimenting with
samba3 as a member server on one of our production servers (when it has
no open connections). I also have samba-2.2.x on it, which works fine.
However, beta2 seems to not resolve sids to usernames, so the security
tab in the file properties dialog from a windows box shows the sid,

I have built RPMs of samba3.0.0beta3, which are parallel-installable
with samba-2.2.x (for easy testing, though you can change that by
rebuilding the srpm with other options) for Mandrake 8.1 through 9.1,
which are available on my site. I hope to get these up on the samba ftp
servers soon, but if you desperatly need packages, grab them from the
