debugging T.38 issues
Hello list,
We're currently facing some issues concerning T.38 gateway faxing.
This is a device used almost exclusively for receiving faxes. Calls
are incoming to asterisk on a SIP trunk (sangoma netborder) using
G711A. Gateway mode is activated in the asterisk dialplan towards a
Cisco SPA 112 running firmware 1.3.5. We are using asterisk 1.8.13.0
with the T.38 gateway patch applied (I know I

Win2003 ADS member server - almost working, ideas?
I am attempting to install a Samba-3.0.0,1 on FreeBSD
5.2.1-RELEASE server to an existing Windows 2003
Server Active Directory Domain.
I've followed Chapter 6 of the HOWTO man to get as far
as I have.
#kinit gooduser --successfully gets a kerberos
ticket
#wbinfo --authenticate=gooduser%goodpassword --
successfully authenticates all user accounts (that
I've tested)
#wbinfo -u yields

Performance of the acoustic echo canceller
Hi All, I am working on my master project to port the Speex Acousic Canceller to FPGA. But I am not able to get a satisfied result in its performance whenI integrated it to a SIP softphone as my first step. The SIP softphone calls to a PSTN gateway and lands to my land line phone. I can hear the echo of my every word while I talks on the land line phone. I am using G.711 codec, frame_size 80

priindication passthru TE410P EuroISDN?
Hi all,
I have to asterisk-1.0.9BRIstuffed-0.2.0n boxes each equipped with a TE410P.
Box A is connected with pri1 to the PSTN.
Box B is connected with pri1 (cpe) to the Box A at pri2 (net).
Now I want Box B to dial out to the PSTN tunneled thru Box A
and have it get all ISDN indications in case of call failure, eg.
unallocated destination number etc.
But currently Box B always gets only

I've a call center using IAX softphones provided by a third party.
We've observed problems where the IAX phones seem unable to use our PRI

calls embedded. Any thoughts,
comments or suggestions would be welcome. In anonymizing it, I preseved

samba as ADS member(s) - virtually identical yet..
hi everyone,
.. one of the Sambas fails to authenticate users.
I have four virtually identical Samba systems which are
configured as AD members.
All servers seem fine, I can
$ net ads lookup | status | dn | user | testjoin .. and so on.
But, problem is that all servers except one can successfully:
smbclient -L $(hostname) -UDOM\\user
here that one server fails:

RTP timestamps
Hi All,
Could somebody explain me how the timestamps are computed in asterisk
while bridging two sip channels ?
I've got situation with my provider, who changed some things in config
and added some codecs (that much i know) and after that we got one way
audio issues. It seems that the problem is with RTP timestamps. Within
one outgoing stream the RTP timestamps are growing, as it should

asterisk / NEC2400 / PRI
Hello List
I'm trying to figure out what is wrong between my asterisk and my NEC 2400
pbx
We have been trying to link them with a spare PA-24DTG
from the NEC, I'm able to call an extension on the Asterisk, however the
extension rings, and then immediatly hangs up
I traced it back to the debug of the PRI on the Asterisk...
I would appreciate if anyone could pin point what is wrong

Disagreements between codec_siren14 and Polycom sources
There appears to be a disagreement between the encoding given in the
sources for Siren14 that are downloaded from Polycom (and the ITU, both
are the same) and that implemented by codec_siren14.so. The latter
agrees with the actual device.
If I make a .sln32 file and run the encoder from ITU/Polycom with
encode 0 foo.sln32 foo.siren14 48000 14000
the resulting file doesn't play back
