They have no problems accessing the files on the server from the win98 pc's but the win2k pc keeps dropping the connection... If I enable wins support = yes & I start smbd it starts smb & nmb. When I restart the service it says that there is no nmb service at 10045 running. When I do a ps -aux, you can still see the service running. They will keep building up until I manually delete them. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The auto enrollment messages seems to be indicate that the client machine thinks it is connecting to an AD domain. The profile messages is indicative of a domain membership problem, whether or not you are using roaming profiles.
