Unable to authenticate with Pam
Hi,
I'm trying to solve this problem for several weeks and this is a SOS!
I've 2 Debian server runing heartbeat and drbd for high availability.
I'm using LDAP for user database, PAM for authentication and Dovecot for
Pop3s access. On the master server all is fine. If dovecot is started on
the slave server (instead of the master) it does not accept to
authenticate with the

From S-Plus to R
Dear Isabelle,
for most of my work I have switched from S-Plus to R, because it is
easier to make scripts with due to the better documentation and some
other more reasonable implementations. And there was also a cost
issue with the S-Plus Server, which is not for free at all.
In R I use the its package for time series, which is quite sufficient
for my needs. The only problem I encountered was

RHEL torrents 64?
I've been working on my first install of Xen all morning. I grabbed
the RHEL rpms torrent from
http://www.xensource.com/xen/downloads/dl_x30rhel4_bt.html yesterday.
I've tried a few tutorials and I have the same results, a kernelpanic
and a quick reboot (can't see what the error is). After some poking
around, it looks like al lthe xen stuff has a 64 in it. Are those

RTLinux and EXT3 using 2.2.19 (need help badly)
Could anyone help me out, i've got a situation here. :-)
I already contacted RTLinux users with no success, I hope ext3 users can
help!
I have a 2.2.19 kernel patched with RTLinux 3.1, clean and working.
I found and applied the ext3 for 2.2.19 kernel patch.
Patch went fine (like in README).
I was able to tune2fs -j /dev/hda1 (activate the journal).
And it actually works.
1) I was not able

Diff to add ARMv6L to Target parser
Hi all,
Thank you so much for this discussion. It has been very helpful and educational. I think that I understand the perspectives of both Tim and Renato. Let me briefly summarize them to ensure that I correctly understand:
Renato’s perspective is that the triple means whatever the author says it does, and that may or not be meaningful. :) In the case of armv7l (for example) it has a clear

Xen, NFS performance, rsize, wsize and MTU
We have a Xen 3.0 / Linux kernel 2.6.15 machine with the domU''s
configured for shared /home directories. One of the domU''s is an NFS
server, exporting /home, and the other domU''s all mount this.
It all functions fine, but it''s pretty slow.
I tried untarring a recent Linux kernel tarball. On the NFS server
domU this takes about 25 seconds. I didn''t

libvirt API reference disappeared from website
Hi,
I think the API Reference for libvirt disappeared from libvirt.org:
browsing to http://libvirt.org/html/libvirt-libvirt.html
delivers no content.
The content is still available via google cache
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:libvirt.org/html/libvirt-libvirt.html
So, is this removed on purpose? Or is this some bluff from my browser (but I checked this from different

bonding, ethtool and live migration
hi,
i''m having here the problem with bonding and crcchecksum. So as i read the
mailing list the solution is to run
ethtool -K eth0 tx off
inside domU. So my domU is reachable. All is fine.
But after i migrate (live) the domU to another machine the complete domU
stopped. Und I also had one time this ugly Zombie thing in xm list and
couldn''t reboot the machine (only power

Diff to add ARMv6L to Target parser
Taking the suggestions of the group under consideration, I’ve generated a new diff. The thing to note is that armv6l is now treated identically to armv6hl. I’ve also added a unit test.
This seems to me to be the least invasive method, and holds to existing conventions as closely as possible.
Thoughts?

4 important bugs again <;
hello everyone,
thanks to todd 1.2.21 is out :)
every release getting better, i would like to get
consensus on these "important" bugs:
#252078 logtail: should depend on perl >= 5.8
sarge as any other modern linux distro use perl 5.8.x,
it's even inside of its base.
backports are under the peril of its author
if no one voices up, i'll close that bug in the next days.
