Asterisk - VoiceGenie IVR
Hi,
I'm currently working on a setup between Asterisk and VoiceGenie (which
is a IVR system).
The way my setup is done, is that I have a PRI line coming in my
Asterisk server, and then VoiceGenie is connected to Asterisk via SIP,
like any other softphone basically. I'm able to receive calls in
Asterisk and then link them with VoiceGenie. But one of my issues is
that when I get an

VoiceXML + Nuance
Hello,
Is there anyone who has ever done a setup of VoiceXML combined with some
licenses from Nuance for the ASR/TTS engine within Asterisk ?
I'm currently working with VoiceGenie, for the VoiceXML + ASR/TTS
engine, but we are having a couple of issues which I guess are caused by
VoiceGenie.
If there's an alternative, it would be very interesting for us.
Thanks,

how to compare shorewall config versus live iptables rules?
Greetings,
I''m new to Shorewall but not to working with Iptables. Shorewall is the
simplest firewall front end I have found thus far. I''m currently trying
to build a Cfengine policy to maintain Shorewall configurations. My
main problem at them moment is confirming that the running iptables
rules match what Shorewall originally built.
If I understand Shorewall correctly the

Fwd: Re: Migrate NT domain 4 to samba
I tried "net lookup dc" and samba PDC did not show.
The NT machine we have has been shut down and not functional
anymore. Right now, we only have one linux box with gentoo running samba
and we want it to be the PDC.
Thanks,

Cannot delete files from samba share
Hi all,
Following an upgrade from samba 2.2.8a to 3.0.22 we have been unable to
delete files on a samba share using an XP client. We were previously able
to delete these files when using 2.2.8a.
The problem occurs when we have a particular sub-set of permissions.
Directory permissions on UNIX are set to 775 and ownerhips to usera :
group1. This should mean that either usera or anyone who

Permission problems writing to Share from SQL Agent
Hello:
I have a client that is using MS SQL Server in a Windows 2003
server.
They have a Linux machine (Fedora Core 3) that is acting as a file
server using Samba.
We want to write backups from the SQL Agent for SQL Server to
one of the shares on the Samba server.
If I set the share to allow guest access, the SQL Agent
can write the backups just fine using \\Shares\SQLBackups\pubs.bak
but, if

adding variables to a data set/combining two data sets
I have a couple of data sets that I want to combine into one data frame.
One set contains a number of records on individual observations and includes
a geographic descriptor called dacode. The dacode is not unique in that
table. The other table contains a number of socio-economic variables for
each of the geographic areas identified in the other table. This second
table also includes a variable

strategies to run two NT4 domains or merge them on one samba host
Hi,
we currently run one samba v3.0 domain "DOMAIN30" with WinXP domain
members and Win7/8 accessing the file server without domain membership.
Then we run a second samba v3.5 domain "NEWDOMAIN" with WinXP/7/8 domain
members. Which was migrated from a NT4 PDC to samba 3.0 and to v3.5
eventually.
Neither domain has anything fancy about it: users and joined workstations,

Retaining Permissions on a share
Hi all,
Sorry to repost about this same issue once again, but I'm really at a
complete loss as to how to solve the problem with ownership being changed
after I've set it.
I've set ownership as follows... ( set this by chmod -R 0770 HR, as well as
chgroup -R HR-Group, I then signed into a Windows PC that was part of the
domain, went to computer management as per the WIKI and chose

[regid23@yahoo.com: Bug#669667: faq.html: missing separator between two distinct shell command s]
I received the attached bug report from a Debian user; it applies to
http://www.openssh.com/faq.html (I ship a copy of the FAQ in the Debian
package). Could somebody make this adjustment on the OpenSSH web site?
Thanks,

Hiding not defined Printer Share
Hi,
I hope the title is understandable? We have several Samba file shares
set up on AIX 4.3.3 boxes and there are only file shares, no printers
are defined at all. The files shares work great. However, when users
browse the Entire Network in Windows Explorer (from XP Pro clients) it
shows a printers and faxes folder on each Server. As there are no
printers on these servers is there a way to
