Samba 3 beta 3 helpers and squid?
I'm trying the new RHEL 3 beta, which comes with samba 3 beta 3, and squid 2.5.STABLE3. Both samba and squid seem appropriately compiled... and I'm using the same config files as samba 2.2.8a and squid 2.5.stable3 (which worked), but windows authentication with the helpers is failing. I asked the squid list first, and got "Samba 3 supports Basic and NTLM authentication for Squid and

Results of nls
This might be an easy question. I tried to catch the results of nls, but to no avail. For example, if I try to fit a modle y~A*x*x+B*x+C nls will print out what A, B, and C, but how can I store these numbers to a different variable so that I can make use of them? I tried to "unclass" the result of nls, but couldn't see any of the parameters. Y C Tao

Can we call these criterions as model selection techniques or goodness of fit techniques or both? Because goodness of fit techniques are usually performed after modle selection. Can I found

The 'nobody' account (mapping not found for gidNumber: 99)
Hi, I am using a samba domain controller with an LDAP backend. I am also using samba domain controllers with this setup similar to those described in the 'Domain Members, Updating Samba and Migration' chapter of the Samba By Example book. On the domain member servers winbind stores the UID<->SID in the Idmap section of the directory. This appears to be working correctly, however

***SPAM*** encoder flow chart
Hi Any help is appreciate! These days I studied ogg vorbis encoder with sample rate 44.1kbsp,and I thought the whole chart was as follows: 1. read the PCM data and store them in a buffer 2. do MDCT on those PCM data 3. do FFT on those PCM data 4. use both the FFT and MDCT coefficient to the psychoacustic modle and derive an maximum allowable noise curve, and during this curse ,do the

manipulating text to generate different formulas to use in nls()
Hello, In doing a series of non-linear estimations of a function which is a sum of a varying number of sinusoids, I would like to "autogenerate" the arguments needed by nls() depending on that number. For example, when there are two sinusoids: > nls( y ~ mu + A1 * cos(2*pi*f1*x - P1) + A2 * cos(2*pi*f2*x - P2), data = some.xy.data, start = list( mu=some.value0,
