Reading ADS volumes
Forgive a possibly naive question.
I have a Linux laptop (mandrake 9) which I would like to use as a client on
network at work. The work LAN is a mixture of W2K servers and NT4 servers.
Some share volumes are ADS.
I can read the non-ADS shares just fine (samba 2.2.7a), but (no surprise here)
it chokes on ADS volumes using either the smb protocol in Konqueror or w/

ACL Support for sftp
Hello,
I would like to see getfacl/setfacl as commands added to sftp. Are there

Thanks in advance

connecting printers via samba / cups (Windows XP clients / AD)
Hi,
We have a setup like this:
- W2003 AD PDC
- Redhat Advanced Server 3.0 with Samba 3.0.0 / CUPS as a print
server
- Windows XP Professional clients
Problem: Users can't connect printers, even administrators are
out of luck, getting a "You are not allowed to connect printer"
like messages. But there is one account that is allowed to
connect printers, and after this account has

Menu.c32 hangs when localboot 0
Hello all,
I am trying to setup a menu to boot into various windows/linux options and also local boot using pxe.
The following is the menu I am using. I tested various options and all worked fine except the localboot.
If I choose localboot option the menu leads to pxe of the second nic on the system and then hangs.
Anyone has a clue what's happening. Any help would be appreciated

1.0.12-2 for IA64 Redhat AS2.1 e.43
We are pleased to announce the release of OCFS 1.0.12-2 for IA64 Redhat
AS2.1 e.43 kernel.
Due to Kernel ABI incompatibility between < e.43 and e.43, 1.0.12-1 does
not load on e.43. It errors out with a list of missing symbols.
The rpms can be downloaded from
http://oss.oracle.com/projects/ocfs/files/RedHat/RHAS2.1/ia64/

**££!!*** Proliant!
This Proliant (ml330 G3) has an HP CSB-6 (LSI/Megaraid) disk controller that
isn't recognised by the installer.
A quick search on Google reveals drivers from RH7 - AS2.1 but nothing for 3
or 4 unless anyone knows different!? If not I'll just have to disable it and
install a supported RAID card.
Anyone!?

Cannot rename file
Hi
I've upgraded my OS from Redhat AS2.1 to Redhat AS4. The samba upgraded
from samba-2.2.7-3.21as to samba-3.0.10-1.4E.9.
I use this only to see the Linux filesystem as a drive on my PC. The
problem is that I cannot rename a file. Put, Get and Copy works fine.
The error I get (after about 30 sec) is any of the following (no
specific pattern):

configure issue (PR#9379)
Full_Name: Gordon Lack
Version: 2.4.0
OS: Redhat Linux AS2.1
Submission from: (NULL) (198.28.92.5)
Not sure whether this is a configure issue or an R one.
It's only a minor issue, so this is really just FYI.
The code in configure checks for the version of makeinfo by splitting the
version string into a major and minor component. The tests on these assume they
are numeric.

RHEL 3 and quota problems...
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I've just installed 1.0beta9 on my RHEL 3 system and am still getting
the problems with the quota-fs returning "invalid argument".
I think i've traced the problem down to differences in the quota
versions based on the <sys/quota.h> files on RHEL 3 compared to FC3.
on the system itself i'm using v2 quotas (with aquota.user

Disappointing Performance Using 9i RAC with OCFS on Linux
Wim,
Thanks for your prompt response on this. The tpmC figures look very
impressive, and tpmC is read intensive.
I had already read note 236679.1 "Comparing Performance Between RAW IO
vs OCFS vs EXT2/3" which I guess is the article to which you are
referring; it made me suspect that the poor performance was due to the
lack of an OS IO cache but I wasn't sure.
