What libs req'd to resolve DNS within a chroot jail?
Hi, I've been working at getting a tftp server up an running in a chroot jail, and I have finally succeed getting almost everything working. The server itself works fine, however, it is implemented as a tcpwrapper application (ie: in.tftpd) and I am having trouble getting it to resolve DNS names. I copied my /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny in my chroot/etc folder, however, they

Samba 4.10.6-1 Configuration on AIX
Sorry... A couple more questions... I've installed krb5-libs and krb-workstation... this is all I need? I ask because the krb5 config file was not created on the system... One was "installed" to /opt/freeware/etc/krb5.conf, which could be copied over... Do I need to install samba-winbind-krb5-locator? Thank you for everything! Rowland, The wiki suggested doing "smbd -b | grep HAVE_LIBACL" and expecting to get back "HAVE_LIBACL". This is not the case on our IBM system with 4.10.6. The current version from IBM is 4.10.13 - considering upgrading in the hopes "HAVE_LIBACL" is present if I really need it. On the other hand, "smbd -b" does report that smbd was built with vfs_aixacl

RE: Fatpipe Support - Authorization to open Box - fwrps2001101288
thanks! www.cacti.net - Open source application for handling SNMP manageable devices. There is already a FatPipe host/device template and graph template that someone has built! I haven't loaded it as yet-- note his comments about his RRA being included in his templates. http://forums.cacti.net/about10840.html&highlight=fatpipe Your Asterisk people should consider the mailing list:

Samba 4.10.13-1 as a domain member, AIX 7100-05-05
Please disregard unless this conclusion is wrong. We would be running in AD mode, not NT4 mode with Server 2016. Hello compadRes, I'm developing a script that selects "cells" over a certain metabolic rate to kill them. A rate between 9 and 12 means that the cells are candidates for death. I'll show you what I mean: # a would be a vector of cell metabolic rates. a<-c(8, 7, 9, 6, 10, 11, 4, 5, 6) #now identify which cells will be candidates for death, namely those cells with metabolic

[Flac-users] CD archiving
I have been following flac development for some time now, but with the release of 1.0.4 I thought I would finally start the task of encoding my entire cd collection into flac format. After looking through the list archives and the webpage I still have a few unanswered questions. 1. What is the best method tagging method to use? Josh mentioned that id3v1 was preferred over id3v2 since it

Problems with aggregate
Hello list, I'm new to this list, so please forgive my ignorance. I have searched R-help for some hints into what might be my problem, but I truly have no idea where to go from here. I have an object of approximately 15,000 rows and 2 columns. There are many duplicates in the first column, all with different corresponding values in the second column. For example (2 is duplicated):

Samba 4.10.6-1 Configuration on AIX
Rowland, If you were up for another hint at rid versus ad... I'd like to understand a bit more. With rid, I map the administrator to root only... no mapping of users in AIX. How does Samba figure out that bobw at mydomain.com should use the samba user ID bobwsmb? If I use ad, I would use rfc2307 attributes to address that (I think). It seems more "specific" to use ad, but

CDR unanswered setting
? Hi, From asterisk 1.8, the CDR table is not logging the unanswered or extn busy calls which hit while in the queue. I am talking about this setting in the cdr.conf : ; In brief, this option controls the reporting of unanswered calls which only have an A ; party. Calls which get offered to an outgoing line, but are unanswered, are still ; logged, and that is the intended behaviour. (It also

Samba 4.10.6-1 Configuration on AIX
Thanks again for the continued help... Current thinking is using rid for the backend does not place any new administrative functions on the staff - agree? Begs questions of what is being written in smbpasswd, and do we have administrative work on AIX? Such as adding users and a group or two in the range specified for idmap? A mapping "table"? If rid is hands-off administration,

2.2.7 to 3.3.12 upgrade issue
Upgraded an AIX Server from AIX 5.3 TL3 with Samba 2.2.7 to AIX 7.1 TL3 with 3.3.12. Client uses AD authentication. Upgrade did not change smb.passwd or smb.conf. Windows users trying to mount a share are presented a request for their credentials; whether they supply the AD or AIX credentials, the access is denied - "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." The smbd and

Domain Admins?
Hello all, Let me say first I'm very new to Linux (only had it running 3 days), so bear with me if I'm a bit ignorant. I'm unsure if I should even post this here, or if this list is exclusively for hardware issues... I'm running into difficulties (on a win2k client) adding the Samba "Domain Admins" group to the Windows "Administrators" group. I am able to log
