Samba 3.0rc3 - "SAM_DELTA_DOMAIN_INFO not handled"
Hi All, I am unable to 'net rpc vampire' the NT4 user accounts and groups into an ldapsam. The PDC is Windows NT4.0 sp6a and the ldapserver is SunONE DS 5.1 on Solaris 9. Groups problem
We would like to migrate grom Winnt 4.0 to Samba 3 with ldap support. We have installed openldap on Rh 2.1 AS and created starting databases with IDEALX.org scripts. Now i have added computer to domain no problems and than I tried to migrate users and groups, but only user migrate but there is a problem " Primary group of Administrator has no mapping!" ( this is error for every user).

Hi I've setup samba 3.0.14 with the latest idealx scripts on FC3. Now I have a test lab to migrate from NT4 box which different than the standalone PDC I have running. Group mapping
Hi everybody, Since two days I'm trying to migrate a whole NT4 PDC to Samba-3 with the "net rpc vampire". Each user and computer accounts are correctly added in LDAP directory. But for every account this message appears during the migration : Primary group of xxxx has no mapping! An other problem is that none of the 558 groups is added in LDAP directory. SOLVED: Must a Samba PDC use LDAP for nss?
Hi All, It seems like Samba 3 does require the PDC to use LDAP for nss when using ldapsam. I reconfigured Solaris 9 to use nss_ldap and 'getent group' now shows the posixGroups created by the 'net rpc vampire' operation. I then cleaned up the LDAP database and ran vampire again. Each group is created successfully with incrementing gidNumber 10000 onward. 'net groupmap

Samba 3.0 Stable Release - Bug in net rpc vampire ?
hi there after successfully joining an NT domain i tried net rpc vampire -S ntpdc and get: Fetching DOMAIN database SAM_DELTA_DOMAIN_INFO not handled net: decode.c:634: ber_scanf: Assertation `((ber)->ber_opts.lbo_valid==0x2)` failed. Aborted samba compiled perfectly on my suse 8.2 box with rc1 and beta1 i had no problems with net rpc vampire so what's wrong? thx --
