I like the idea of managing workstations through the NTConfig.POL file, but the included templates are quite a bit outdated. Hi list, Today, I spent most of the day figuring out why my password policies set via GPO are not applied on a domain level, just to find out that this is not one of the many occasions where Windows is the problem but it's really Samba, for a change. Apparently, password policies can only be changed using samba-tool and not via GPO. IMO, the FAQ is not very clear here.

Hi folks, I have been playing around with implementing and applying GPOs on a Samba AD DC, using the RSAT tools. It seems that any changes take their time (at least 5 minutes, maybe more), and are not immediately active. I experienced problems when logging in on the affected computers (Windows 10), that the GPOs seemed to be incompletely applied. After a while, it worked though. It's not

Hi, I have migrated samba 3 domain to samba, and I have found that when you try to use gpo this are not applied we receive in windwos event log errors with permissions in sysvol, I have checked paths to sysvol gpos and are correct.
