I ran out of gas by looking through google also... :-( With Best Regards YS

USRMGR Not adding users properly
I'm having problems adding users with usrmgr. I can run the scripts from my smb.conf fine from command line and do what I need to. But, when adding users with usrmgr, the login script and path statements are not identified and I have to go in and edit them manually. Does adding a user with usrmgr not use the add user script from Samba? Or must the user environment variables be added

net rpc vampire
Ok folks, here goes: We have an old NT4 machine that we wish to replace as the PDC on our network. In it's place, we've got a dual xeon box with Mandrake LE2005 and Samba 3.0.13-2 and I'm currently trying to draw the accounts over with vampire. I'm using tdbsam as a backend. I've been through several readme's and howto's and have created all the UNIX accounts,

Can't login samba domain from xp/2k
Hello everybody. I am having troubles to log on a samba domain from winxp and win 2000 workstations. I patched the registry with the requiresignorseal=0, changed the local and group policies (following various comments found on the web), and added the machine account for samba (obviously, /etc/passwd too). I tried with samba 3.0.7, 3.0.10 and 3.0.13, Winxp with and without sp2, and win200

Hi, I use samba 3.0.22 on Debian Sarge as PDC for windows XP SP1 and SP2. Sometimes, users get the message "Windows cannot found the roaming profile on server so user will get a default profile". samba 3.0.22 default ACL issue
Hi, I use samba 3.0.22 as PDC on Debian with workstations under windows XP SP1 and SP2. I use ACLs to have a fine grained access rules. When I copy a directory from a client to a samba share, default ACLs are forgiven. exemple : after I copy the directory A on the samba share : getfacl A/ # file: A/ # owner: user1 # group: sambausers user::rwx group::--- other::--- default:user::rwx

Problem with adding printer drivers in Windows XP
I know this question has been asked quite a few times from the archive, but nothing in the previous posts seems to help my setup. I currently have samba 3.0.21c running on Slackware with CUPS as the printing conduit. It's setup as a PDC as can be seen from the smb.conf file below. I cannot, no matter what I've tried, get the server to allow me to add printer drivers to a printer
