Xen boots to blank screen
It seems like there are several messages in the archive and in various
forums about this problem, but I do not see a clear course of action for how
to solve it. I am relatively new to Linux, compounding my problem. I just
built a new machine for the express purpose of running Xen so my girlfriend
and I could experiment and learn about different Linux distros. I am running
on an Intel DG35EC

Installing up to date puppet on Ubuntu
Hi,
Ubuntu Lucid has a very outdated puppet, 0.25.4
according to:
http://docs.puppetlabs.com/guides/puppetlabs_package_repositories.html#for-debian-and-ubuntu
I did this to "enable the repository":
wget http://apt.puppetlabs.com/puppetlabs-release_1.0-3_all.deb
sudo dpkg -i puppetlabs-release_1.0-3_all.deb
but this still does not result in installing an up to date puppet

Suse Linux Enterprise 10 and Samba PDC
Hi,
I have SLES 10 running (after much searching, reloading, and trial and
error) a Samba PDC with LDAP.
I have tried to use the many Samba as PDC documents out there, but none
seemed to work.
I even tried one from the Suse Site geared for SLES 10, no luck.
I ended up using Yast2 to configure the server and get it running. It is
accepting workstations, and user connections with one problem.

Samba 3.0.7 and SuSE Yast2.
Hi,
I have down loaded the Samba 3.0.7 binary rpm's for SuSE 9.1 from the samba
ftp. I'm trying to install it using Yast2 and don't let me. If I use the
rpm commands I get an error too. Do I need a signature or something alike?
If yes, where do I get it and how can I make this beauty to work.

Dom0 hang on SuSE 9.3 IA64
I''m having problems booting Dom0 on an unbranded server.
Server is running SuSE 9.3 x86_64 and has been working fine for a couple
of years as a standard boot pc. I installed the 2.0.5c version of Xen
which is part of the SuSE repository. I cannot boot into Xen though,
booting Dom0 stops after:

I know from a normal boot that the next part is PCI

Samba 3.0.2x with trusted domains.
Hello all,
we have a samba server on a SLES9 linux box. It is connected to an active
directory with multiple trusted domains.
With this server, we have strange problems with users/groups in others
domains. The users/groups listed in smb.conf that are part of trusted
domains are not take in account to access the shares. We cannot as well
set ACL correctly on filesystem.
This is not an
