samba (2.2.8a) driver download fails
Hi there, I have a problem with the rpc driver stuff: I have copied the driver files to //atlas/print$/W32X86 and WIN40 (via filesystem copy), added and set the driver without errors. But getdriver reports no driver associatet with the printer?! So reports below. I am sure, this was working on this system. I tried to reinit the ntprinters.tdb, printing.tdb, nt_forms.tdb and ntdrivers.tdb by

another printing question
I have got the printing working with CUPS finally on all of my printer. Took a while but they are printing with no errors. What they are not doing is feeding back the print status, and not all of them are consistent. I have a HP2000C that gives me a failed to open retrying error in the W2k printers window. I have a minolta d350 that always comes back blank, even though there are maybe 50 jobs

Remote Differential Compression comparative run
I ran an rsync test using the RDC program that comes with the Server 2008 SDK. The RDC program is a simple program to demonstrate Microsoft's Remote Differential Compression algorithm. It uses the API for RDC to copy a file across a WAN/LAN connection. The program, as-is, has little functionality and a lot of limitations but I thought it might be fun to test. I compiled the RDC code as-is

NVPTX Back-end: relocatable device code support for dynamic parallelism
Hi everyone, CUDA allows to call some runtime functions also from the device code. On a multi-GPU system this allows the GPU to determine its device id on its own via cudaGetDevice(). Unfortunately i cannot get it working when compiling with clang. When compiling with nvcc relocatable device code needs to be set to true (-rdc=true) and the cudadevrt is needed when linking [0]. I did not

certdnsnames question
Hi All Apologies if this is obvious, but I''m a bit flaky around SSL certificates. NB puppet version 0.25.5 We use the brilliant feature of certificates where you can have Alternate DNS names for a certificate which is manifested in the puppet master config file as certdnsnames. All our clients connect to puppet-$ location.example.com, and if $location is down, we can point the CNAME to

Win2K sp4 can't print
Hi, I just installed 2 Win2K sp4 workstations on an otherwise working Samba 2.2.8a network and 2 of the 3 printers are showing "Access denied". What's up with that? The other computers that are working just fine are Win98, XP and Win2K NOT sp4. Here is part of the global section: printing = bsd load printers = yes disable spoolss = yes printcap name

index instead of loop?
Hello, Does anyone know of a way I can speed this up? Basically I'm attempting to get the data item on the same row as the report date for each report date available. In reality, I have over 11k of columns, not just A, B, C, D and I have to do that over 100 times. My solution is slow, but it works. The loop is slow because of merge. # create sample data z.dates =

Win2K3 Server, in Terminal Session, Problem connecting to SAMBA server.
I have looked for several days and can not find the answer to my problem, but I'm sure it has to be a simple issue. I'm trying to map drives inside Windows Server 2003 Terminal Session from a local Samba server but can't get connected. I figure the problem is in Windows Registry but can't find web page on what needs to be changed to get this working. I built a new Windows 2003

R Development Center(s)
A while ago our institute was approached by a large company, say XXX, who asked whether we would like to become an Xxx development center, as we are active in the same area. After some negotation we did, believing there will be mutual benefits. Some time later, after putting up the Xxx development center logo on the institute home page, my feeling grew that we are also, and probably to a larger

removing data look-ahead, something faster.
Hello, Thank you for your help/advice! The issue here is speed/efficiency. I can do what I want, but its really slow. The goal is to have the ability to do calculations on my data and have it adjusted for look-ahead. I see two ways to do this: (I'm open to more ideas. My terminology: Unadjusted = values not adjusted for look-ahead bias; adjusted = values adjusted for look-ahead bias.) 1) I

Celtenc not working in 0.9.1
Hi, I'm currently testing libcelt (celt-0.9.1) on my Openwrt/Kamikaze RDC-3210 platform and although I'm able to Crosscompile on my Ubuntu 10.10 machine without errors, the resulting celtenc doesn't seem to work properly. Ran ./configure via the Openwrt makefile first (activating fixed-point) ; I first produce a S16_LE Raw PCM file (48Khz, stereo) : test.pcm Then I try to encode
