Samba 2.2.6 Install Issue With Solaris 9
All: Tried to upgrade from Samba 2.0.7 to 2.2.6 on a Solaris 9 platform. Without setting the LD_LIBRARY_PATH, configure would fail around line 14160 I believe this is related the the fact that it couldn't find the library "libpopt.so.0". (See below excerpt from logs) Output from configure: checking whether to enable winbind auth challenge/response code... no checking

'make' Building of Executables Fails
I have encountered problems when compiling SAMBA 2.2.8a on a RS/6000 7025-F50 (AIX 4.3.3.0-11), during the 'make' operation. I am using GCC 2.95.3.0, which I installed from Bull. Could someone review these results and provide some guidance for a solution? Thank you. ========================== The 'configure' operation completed with the expected messages (see below),

Samba 2.2.5 and ACL
Hi, I've a problem in running configure for samba 2.2.5. I'm using redhat 7.3, with ACL support from http://acl.bestbits.at/. I've tested that the ACL is working on the filesystem, and samba can find it too. Here's the error: checking if large file support can be enabled... yes checking whether to support ACLs... checking for acl_get_file in -lacl... yes checking for ACL

AIX/Samba vs. Large Files
I'm having trouble getting Samba 3.0.11 working properly on AIX 5.1.0.0. ?I've got a share set up, and I can connect fine, but I can't get it to transfer files >1GB. ?I've already set ulimit fsize to -1, and I can transfer large files via scp to the same directory just fine. ?The directory is on a JFS volume. There are no quotas on this system. I've even tried adding

Building wxruby-swig for Mac
0.0.5 sure gets the Mac build a lot further. There''s a bug in the wxMac-2.4.2 distribution that I''m running into: wx-config wants to invoke a program in the source directory at link time. That''s ugly in itself, but it tries to use a variable ${top_srcdir} to accomplish this, and it''s apparently empty. It tries to invoke
