Hi All, A while ago I replaced a Samba AD on old hardware with a another AD on newer hardware. Everything went smoothly including the demotion of the old AD. However after I did some cleanup DNS records and turned off the old hardware I noticed that there still was a NS record associated with the old AD. I am running Samba 2.2.7 on RedHat 7.3. I can see the Samba Share on the Peer to Peer Network. The share will stay active for a period of time (different every time) and then time out and put a red "x" over the share in My Computer. The samba share is the company's shared data. They then need to double click the red "x" and re-connect to the samba share. Annoying!

I believe this a virus on one of the work stations, but I want to just make sure because no of the virus scans are picking it up. I just built the largest Linux server I ever attempted (725 Gigs in RAID5). I convinced my client to move from Micro$oft. Everything was working perfectly during tests. In operation they are getting random directories made (1000s of them) in the shared folders.
