I just upgraded to 2.10.1 on a WinXPSP2 machine. When I type help.start() R attempts to open a browser session at http://127.0.0.1:27594/doc/html/index.html using my default browser (Firefox 3.6) and is unable to connect. I have a 100mbps LAN. I'm writing a 9MB file from Windows XP to Debian (testing) with Samba 2.2.3a. The write speed is about 1MB/s. Transferring the same file over FTP is 5MB/s.
