AW: Samba 2.2.8a :: High CPU usage and Printer
No, I don't.. I'm sorry I wasn't that clear in my last mail. I'm running Samba only as file server. I haven't installed a printer so far on Samba. The printers are installed on the Windows 2000 server. This server is a Domaincontroller, File- and Printerserver. My problem is that any other pc has normal traffic rates to the samba server, but the server is very slow. One

Dovecot + libsodium
Hi, Thank you very much for creating and maintaining dovecot! In my scenario, I want to use the password hash algorithms provided by libsodium: https://download.libsodium.org/doc/ So my difficulty is to have dovecot support libsodium's hash algorithms, particularly: crypto_pwhash_scryptsalsa208sha256_str On the sodium maillinglist I asked for help and received an adjusted dovecot code,

High CPU usage
The below seems to give me several minutes of 15-60% cpu usage. As far as I can tell there doesn''t seem to be anything really wrong with my configuration. Anyone have any idea why this might be the case? I also get about 6% memory usage. This is a 3.0 ghz Xeon with 2 gigs of memory. class apache2 { file { "/etc/apache2": recurse =>

HVM guest high CPU usage
I have couple of HVM guests on xen 3.2. When guests boot, qemu-dm uses alot of cpu for approx 20 minutes post boot then load drops to average 0.50. I did some debugging and see this is going on, I suspect display output is using the CPU. Disabling VNC and SDL didn''t help with the CPU usage. any ideas how to reduce the cpu or stop it all together? My setup is as following: Xen

find thread that is causing high cpu usage
Hello, Using one of Brendan''s dtrace script prusage and prstat, I was able to find the process that is consuming high cpu. I also have a test case that can trigger this high cpu usage. Questions are a) how do I proceed from here? b) how do I figure out which thread is using this high cpu? c) how do I figure out which piece of code is causing this problem? high CPU usage with TAR files
I am trying to use rsync to backup our Linux server and when the rsync is running it uses 1-2% CPU for most operations until it reaches a tar file (or another file archive), then the CPU usage increases to 90%. I am assuming that rsync is looking at the individual files in the tar archive and seeing if any have changed instead of looking at the mod time and file size. I'm sure this is a

BUG (?) High CPU usage in samba-2.2-cvs
The setup: Downloaded from samba-2.2 branch of cvs as of 9 okt. The workstation has opened up another IPC connection at this point. The problem do not show up in

High residual CPU usage after hangup
I have an extension.conf which calls a sip phone and the console in parallel. exten => _1${EXT_BARRY},1,Dial,sip/${EXT_BARRY}&Console/dsp This is done to use the console speaker as a load ringer for extension ${EXT_BARRY} The process works, but while the call to Barry is active, and after its completion, one process starts using about 99% of the CPU. Asterisk consuming high cpu usage
Hi, I have been using asterisk 10.0.1 for 8 months and now I have updated it to 12.6.0. I have not made much changes in conf files. I am seeing continues warnings saying "Can't send 10 type frames with SIP/Gtalk write" on console. Which I had never seen in the previous version. I have seen compared chan_sip.c from both versions and It seems 12.6.0 is also made to support all the

did the test result changed in any way? Maybe the DRI2 run was vsynced and the DRI3 not?
