Have you looked, if winbindd is still running after you started it? I think, if the settings for winbind in smb.conf are not correct or if nmbd isn't running, winbindd terminates immediatly after you started it. Hi list, Trying to set custom paramters for a wine-program as wcmd for example doesn't work for me. I tried setting [AppDefaults\\wcmd.exe.so\\x11drv] "Desktop"= "N" and [AppDefaults\\wcmd.exe\\x11drv] "Desktop"= "N" when global is "Desktop"="640x480". wcmd is displayed on a 640x480 desktop. Is there a workaround ?

Hi, I've users connecting to a samba server via WinNTWS 4.0 (home directories are /home/%u) While workstations have both Windows and Linux installed, I want to allow users to connect to their /home directory when logging into Linux. Do you think it's better to automount the folders using an NFS mount or to use an SMBFS mount ? What are advantages and drawbacks of each methods ?

Hi list, updating wine to current cvs shows that stg could be broken in winedbg. Running programs that crash and go to debugger make winedbg jump nowhere in winedbg's data. This happens with several programs I tested (windows / dos programs), and the backtrace is always the same.
