Citrix Web client
Citrix Web client lets me login to the Metaframe server, but when I try to launch an application, I get a message that I cannot connect to the server. I must have 128-bit SSL support installed. . . . I'm using Firefox 1.5 as a browser and I can log into my bank, which requires the 128 bit SSL, so somewhere between logging into the Citrix server and trying to launch an application,

RE: security=domain and Citrix MetaFrame on W2K was Windows 2000T erminal Server and Samba
Troy, This does work in the security=domain situations (This is what I am currently using in my smb.conf). You do not need to do anything special for joining the doman when using the aliases. Samba as a PDC in a citrix environment
Hi all, this is a long time since my last post to this list and I have got a small question... (ofcource :) I'm going to introduce citrix into our office (two citrix XPa servers which are load balanced). According to the Citrix XPa docs it is not a good idea to use one of this servers as a PDC/BDC, I can imagine that (we wouldn`t want to give NT to much responsebilities). so my question

Samba-Citrix compatability
G'day, We are having problems when connecting to our Solaris 8 server Zeus from our Windows 2000 Terminal Servers. We are running Samba 2.2.8a on the unix box and are finding that from time to time people are having difficulty opening files from shares on this server. They also have difficulty mapping network drives. It reports errors such are "file doesn't exist". However, we

Samba PDC and Citrix
Currently I have Samba running happily as a PDC. I also have Citrix running on NT Terminal server that users dial into. After joining the Terminal server to the domain, dial up users get an error saying they don't have permission to dial in and are disconnected. Has anyone had any similar experiences? Jeff

Citrix, Samba PDC experiences.
Hi all, I've dug through the lists and google, but haven't found very much info on using Citrix with a samba PDC. The small number of messages and information I've found, lead me to believe it will work. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge they'd be willing to share? I'm currently involved in rolling out Citrix for proprietary windows apps for remote offices.

W2K termserver & MOSXS PDC?
Is anyone else having problems with W2K terminal services and a Samba PDC? I'm running Samba 2.2.3a on Mac OS X Server 10.1.2, set up as a PDC per the HOWTO instructions. I have a Windows 2000 Server running terminal services and Citrix Metaframe, which I've joined to the domain. I have a set of scripts that synchronize NetInfo passwords and smbpasswd passwords. Everyone can logon,

2.2.3a PDC Win2K Citrix Profiles
This weekend I upgraded SAMBA from 2.2.2 to 2.2.3a then made it the PDC on our LAN. Original PDC was an NT4 Server. There is a Win2K Server running Citrix Metaframe-XP, and the old NT4 PDC Server was replaced with another Win2K Server to be the Database Server. I didn't want to bother with setting Win2K up as a DNS and DFS/ADS Server (required for being a PDC), so selected to make SAMBA the

BDC, documentation, Machine Accounts Keep Expiring

Citrix Web Interface requires unix and windows passwords to match - never mind
I overlooked that I did have some Citrix Presentation Servers for Unix as well- so Citrix web interface would of course try to verify my password on those machines as well. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Gaiseric Vandal <gaiseric.vandal@gmail.com> Date: Nov 28, 2007 3:35 PM Subject: Citrix Web Interface requires unix and windows passwords to match. Citrix Web Interface requires unix and windows passwords to match.
I am running Samba 3.026a, Solaris 9 PDC. Samba uses tdbsam password backend. Unix level accounts are NIS. I am not using password syncing or winbind on Samba, and I have not configured the Windows servers to use NIS through SFU or Cygwin. The "Windows" domain includes several Windows 2000/2003 member servers running Citrix Presentation Server (aka Metaframe.) When using the

how asterisk detects silence?
Hello! As I see there is dsp_drop_silence switch in confbridge. Could you tell me how asterisk detects silence? Is it possible to change silence level, so, let's say some not loud enough background noises will be recognized as silence and only loud enough human voice will be recognized as sound? Thank you!
