logon home with ldap under win98
Hello,
I hope this is the correct place for this mail... I have found that
samba-2.2.3a (--with-ldapsam) gives the correct logon home for win2k,
but not for win98. Obviously the two systems request the information in
a different way.
For win98 machines, in lanman.c, the information is taken only from
smb.conf, and not from ldap (or other backends).
I have attached a small patch that yields

SCO lan manager
We have a linux pc (slackware 4.0, samba 2.0.5) acting as a gateway between two
subnet of our office. On my side of the net I have a mixed win95/NT/Samba
network, and on the other side we have some sco unix servers, running an old
lan-manager, os/2 like.
Gateway linux is a master browser, that enable us to see the other subnet,
but... I can't see the record for the sco-server in

Printing problem..
I'm having a little problem with a HP 8550 Laser Color printer shared under samba.
The printer works fine with local prints, I can see the resource printer from Win2k2 explorer.
I install the remote printer in a W2k2 workstation, windows ask me for drivers, and then, I installed them.
The problem is: when I'm triying to access the printer, windows told me:

disabling version number
Hi there,
is there any possibility of disabling Samba's version number output (e.g.
with smbclient) without having to manually edit it in the source code?
I don't want anyone to see my Samba's version number...

Solaris 7 not compiling HEAD code
I am trying to compile the NTDOM HEAD code on Solaris 7 using gcc 2.8.
Samba 2.0.5a works fine but not the HEAD Code. See Errors below. Can
anyone tell me what I need to do?
