problem copying ACLs with xcopy /o (2.2.5pre1)
hello, has anyone got samba-2.2.5pre1 working with "xcopy /o" ? it doesn't work over here with win2ksrv (as client) and samba-2_2 CVS as server (suse linux 8.0, xfs-acls, kernel 2.4.18). is xcopy /o supposed to work at all? any hint will be greatly appreciated. thanks, guenther -- Guenther Deschner guenther.deschner@suse.de SuSE Linux AG

ntlm_auth NT_STATUS_INVALID_WORKSTATION Question
Hi all, I have samba4.2 (Version 4.2.0pre1-GIT-6d2f56d) as AD domain controller. Some users can only logon to specific window workstation. Now, we want to configure the samba AD as the user authentication of squid. I use the following configuration in squid. The users without workstation limitation can successfully authenticate to squid, but the user with workstation limitation cannot.

Question about mount.cifs and smbclient
Hi! I have a problem for a few weeks, and can't figure out what could be the problem. The client computer runs RHEL 5.2 (arch: x64_64); the smb server is unknown for us. I'm sorry, that I can't provide any info (usernames, servernames, IPs, etc), they are masked to look like variables. But they are correct as far as i am concerned. When I try to mount it with mount.cifs (.smbfs

smbmount NT_STATUS_INVALID_WORKSTATION problem
We have an install with sambe 3.0.10 (RHEL 4.3) server and clients. Server is security=ADS , and recently we had to set restrict workstation login in our windows domain. On linux clients (joined to domain) we are having issues with smbmount giving NT_STATUS_INVALID_WORKSTATION errors, but smbclient does not have this error. Debug dumps show smbmount logging is as [DOMAIN]/[USER]@[0.0.0.0],

samba handles nt logon restrictions wrong
we use samba as member servers with security=domain pointing towards a WinNT4 PDC. accounts that have workstation logon restrictions are unable to connect to samba shared ressources but are able to connect to windows nt shared ressources as they should. normally, workstation logon restriction should deny only interactive logons. the 2.0.5 logfile entry:

Restrict logon to groups of workstations II
After sending my first email, I tried to modify auth/auth_sam.c to allow groups of workstations to the workstations list. And, for my surprise (?!) it was quite easy. And worked fine. I use LDAP as sam backed, and for unix accounts and groups database. I create a test group "stations" and putted there into two of my workstations. Then I defined the "sambaUserWorkstations"

Samba 2.2.5 and LDAP start_tls
Hi, I've a problem in connecting samba 2.2.5 to LDAP with ldap ssl = start_tls. I've already patched the file pdb_ldap.c and configure.in and run autconf (as described in the Samba-LDAP-PDC howto). However, doing a rpcclient servername -U root%password -c "enumprinters" shows this in the log: [2002/08/23 16:50:44, 0] passdb/pdb_ldap.c:ldap_open_connection(181) Failed to

Multiple Imputation / Non Parametric Models / Combining Results
Dear R-Users, The following question is more of general nature than a merely technical one. Nevertheless I hope someone get me some answers. I have been using the mice package to perform the multiple imputations. So far, everything works fine with the standard regressions analysis. However, I am wondering, if it is theoretically correct to perform nonparametric models (GAM, spline
