MusicMatch Jukebox-like mp3 player...
Looking for recommendations.... On WinXP, I use MusicMatch Jukebox version 9 for all my tinkering with mp3s. What do you guys use that would match the functionality of MMJB? I'm mainly interested in the music library setup of MMJB... -- --- David Woyciesjes

[PATCH 7/7] x86: cleanup bogus CONFIG_ACPI_PCI uses
We''re building for one case (CONFIG_ACPI_PCI defined) only, yet still had the other case''s code in there. Additionally there was quite a bit of pseudo-duplication between disabled(!) DMI scan and ACPI boot code. acpi_pci_disabled had only a single reader, which is off by default (i.e. must be enable on the command line), so it seems pointless to keep it. Signed-off-by: Jan

However, If I try to compile on my production machine (Elite K7S5A, 2.4GHz, 512MB) while * is running the zaptel and asterisk compiles seg fault. I am assuming that they will compile correctly if I bring down * and rmmod the zaptel driver. 0.7.1 compiled and is now running. Is there

number detection problem.
Hello, We're using asterisk with a z-plex 10 and a Zap tormentia card at a non-profit home for the aged. Sometimes when we dial out, our numbers are misintepreted with one number being detected twice. For instance 337-4411 becomes 337-7441 7's 4's and 0's seem to be particularly prone to this issue. Any ideas? I've tried turning down rxgain and txgain. A little debugging

They run only for a few minutes, but suddenly freeze, crashing the host. There is no networking. No X. No way to drop out of X. The only way out is a hard reboot. problems installing wine
I just downloaded the latest version of wine from the site to install on my system. My system is an Athalon XP 2400+ running Fedora Core 3, fully updated. I downloaded the file wine-20050419-1fc3winehq.athlon.rpm and installed it, then installed winetools-2.1.1-jo.i386.rpm to go with it. I started winetools to do the configuration and completed each step of the base install one at a time until

Long call setup times on SIP to zaptel calls
I have had a lot of complaints about the time it takes to setup a call. I have timed it and it is almost five seconds before it even starts ringing. The SIP device sends the request almost instantly but the channel is taking a long time to pickup and dial. It wouldn't be so bad but they hear nothing. I would like to provide ringback before the zaptel actually starts ringing the channel. Has

choppy recorded sounds in asterisk
I have installed asterisk on numerous servers. Every install was done on Fedora and (White box Linux). I now have zap channels in one of the boxes (T-1). No matter what type of channel I call on (sip or zap) I get some really strange artifacts in the sound, almost like a skip in the playback. It seems to always be in about the same place in the recording. Usually in the beginning of playback. For

Ssh access over a zap channel...
My need to do this through asterisk is simply the ability to provide me access with no additional cost to my customer. It seems like a nice thing to include as long as authentication is done well. I have worked on a dozen or more types of switches and all of them have supported this or had the capabilty through hardware or licensing. I am trying to get around opening and closing the firewall,

Conference bridge dimensioning
We are using an Asterisk box to do conferencing right now. I have had about sixteen active lines in conference and the quality was acceptable. We now have a need for 50 people to conference at one time. Does anyone have enough experience doing this to give me some pointers. Will it even be reasonable to try this? Is the mixing done on the the hardware, I plan on using a quad span t-1 card from
