RE: SAMBA 15TB Volume?
And the reason you never got a response from samba@samba.org is that you have your mailer configured to send HTML mail, which is immediately rejected by the mail server. So no one saw your question. Or my answer. Until now. PG -----Original Message----- From: Green, Paul Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2004 7:09 PM To: 'Massano, Thomas' Cc: 'Samba Questions (samba@samba.org)'

Expected number of events, Andersen-Gill model fit via coxph in package survival
Hello, I am interested in producing the expected number of events, in a recurring events setting. I am using the Andersen-Gill model, as fit by the function "coxph" in the package "survival." I need to produce expected numbers of events for a cohort, cumulatively, at several fixed times. My ultimate goal is: To fit an AG model to a reference sample, then use that fitted model

deleting a file
Dear all, I have a very simple question. Simple, that is, if you know the answer. I wish to delete a file in a given directory after having first checked its existence. I issue the following commands path<-'c:example/R/' Thus creating the directory. indicator<-length(grep(filename,path)) If indicator is greater than zero then the file exists. Now I wish to remove this file.

how to read individual values from a pixmap object
Hi All, I have a greyscale image that I am reading in through RGDAL and placing in a pixmap object. As an example use the logo.jpg file that comes with the RGDAL package: #Read the file logo <- system.file("pictures/logo.jpg", package="rgdal")[1] x <- new("GDALReadOnlyDataset", logo) #Create the pixmap object xGrey <- getPixmapGDAL(x) Now I would

Move zpool to new virtual volume
Hello all, I want to reorganize the virtual disk/ storage pool /volume layout on a StorageTek 6140 with two CSM200 expansion units attached (for example stripe LUNs across trays, which is not the case at the moment). On a data server I have a zpool "pool1" over one of the volumes on the StorageTek. The zfs file systems in the pool are mounted locally and exported via nfs to clients. Now

using content from a model in application.rhtml
Hi all, Not sure if Im doing this the right way (most likely not as I cant make it work!) I have an application that needs to put some content from two different tables(db) on every page within the application. What I thought I could do is write a small application helper that talks to the model and asks for the data. But I cant for the life of me work out how to actually talk to a model from

Problems joining existing domain W2K SP4 and Samba 2.2.8a
Hi all, I seem to be having some weird problems while trying to add a workstation to an existing domain. Samba 2.2.8a is running on FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE-p17 and all the clients have Windows 2000 Professional with SP4 installed. This particular workstaion was part of the domain until its hard drive went under. The drive had to be replaced with a new one, the OS was installed and now when I try to

Hi All How do I access a model from within the application.rb? Rgdal windows binary warning message
Hi all, I just downloaded windows binaries of RGDAL (from http://www.stats.ox.ac.uk/pub/RWin/bin/windows/contrib/2.1/) and installed. I ran the example R_HOME\library\rgdal\R-ex\getPixmapGDAL.R and everything seemed to work as expected. However I got the following warning message: DLL attempted to change FPU control word from 8001f to 9001f The R-help (?dyn.load) describes the problem as:

Apparent parser problem (PR#2520)
Let me first admit: I am experiencing this bug on a precompiled binary of R for windows, and I know these are not supported. I am not asking for support, but I thought the R developers would want to know about this. # Define: foo.page <- function(x) x # Then, foo.page("a") # actually invokes the pager (!) on object named "a" (if one is defined). # same thing happens

bootstrap in time dependent Cox model‏
Dear R-list, I am wondering how to perform a bootstrap in R for the weighted time dependent Cox model? (Andersen?Gill format, with multiple observations from each patients) to obtain the bootstrap standard error of the treatment effect. Below is an example dataset. Would 'censboot' be appropriate to use in this context? Any suggestions/references/direction to R-package will be highly

disks in zpool gone at the same time
Hi, Yesterday I got all my disks in two zpool disconected. They are not real disks - LUNS from StorageTek 2530 array. What could that be - a failing LSI card or a mpt driver in 2009.06? After reboot got four disks in FAILED state - zpool clear fixed things with resilvering. Here is how it started (/var/adm/messages) Feb 23 12:39:03 nexus scsi: [ID 365881 kern.info] /pci at 0,0/pci10de,5d at

constrained optimization
Dear list, The task view on optimization does not reference a package for non linear constrained optimization problems. Stefan Theussl told me to look at the Rsolnp package, but unfortunately it is not very clear what method is R ported. (The authors ported the matlab code of Yinyu Ye http://www.stanford.edu/~yyye/ <http://www.stanford.edu/%7Eyyye/>) Currently I'm looking for an

Axis/Ticks/Scale
Dear All, Apologies for this simple question and thanks in advance for any help given. Suppose I wanted to plot 1 million observations and produce the command plot(rnorm(1000000)) The labels of the xaxis are 0, e+00 2 e+05 etc. These are clearly not very attractive (The plots are for a PhD. thesis). I would like the axes to be 0,2,4,6,8,10 with a *10^5 on the right hand side. Is there a
