ext3 assertion failure. repost sorry.
Hi all,
Sorry for the repost. If I should be asking somewhere else please tell me where.
I woke up a few days ago to find this on one of my machines.
Below is hopefully the revelent output from dmesg and /var/log/messages. I
have had this b4 but this is the first time I have been able to get any useful
information from it. The machine usually locks and all I see is the assertion
failure on

ext3 error messages??
Hi all,
I suddenly found myself unable to access one of my file systems on a 7.2
machine with all of the updates except wa running the 2.4.9-21 kernel.
Looking in the logs the only thing I could see was the following:
Mar 6 05:12:31 kanga syslogd 1.4.1: restart.
Mar 6 05:12:30 kanga kernel: [ext3:__insmod_ext3_S.bss_L1024+163840/116200300] __insmod_wd_S.bss_L1376

Assertion failure in ext3_prepare_write() at inode.c:934: "handle != 0"
Hi. I was using ext3 0.0.1 without any problems in the last
33 days (same boot). / was still ext2, but I changed /etc/fstab
to ext3. /home/ftp/pub/ is ext3. I mounted
/home/ftp/pub/slakware/bare.i with loopback in /mnt/floppy/.
After some time:
==> /var/log/syslog <==

MSDFS redirection WinXP SP2
I am currently having problems accesing our samba msdfs shares from
Windows XP SP2, Windows 2000 and WinXP SP1 seem unaffected. I have
attached the smb.conf and the exports files that define the shares.
Running ethereal on the different clients seems to point to the fact
that XP SP2 no longer seems to be using the netbios-ssn (139) port. for
GET_DFS_REFERRAL instead its using microsoft-ds

tc htb stats
I have an htb qdisc setup and it is shaping my traffic wonderfully but
I''ve just recently started taking a look at the output from the command
tc -s class ls dev eth?
Looking at the "rate" line I thought to myself..."cool I can use this to
graph throughput avg.es without having to worry about the "Sent bytes"
rolling over or being lost when the htb qdisc is

is turned on. Can anybody
kind to confirm with me?
Our network is using a mix of Win2k server, Win2k Pro, Win98, Win95 and
WinMe machines, where the
Win2k server is the domain controller and terminal service applications
server and the Samba is a member
fileserver of the domain. All workstations logon and mount the samba file
services.
We'd like to check if the problem could be solved by

the files when you attempt to rename it. This is caused by Window's Media
Player loading the file when you click on it.
To work around this I had to go into Windows Explorer and change the folder
options from "Enable Web Contents in Folders" to "Use Windows Classic
Folders". This way, Windows Media player won't load the file when you click
on it.

Is there another way of doing the bindings so that the Windows share doesn't run on TCP/IP but will still work with SAMBA? If so, where in the docs should I be looking, and if not - maybe this should be something discussed by the SAMBA dev people..
Regards,
Marc.

On the server side, I didn't get far because the domain name come up NULL so
it failed on that test.
Below are two logs log98.txt and log2000.txt that show full debug info.
I might just have a stupid configuration or installation mistakes. I am sure
that my basic configuration must work since it is a very typical setup.
Any help will be highly appreciated

Contact header empty in SIP-message
Hi,
I have noticed that when I am calling from my Snom-phone to another
Snom-phone through Asterisk, the SIP-message's Contact -header could be
sometimes empty and for example other Snom get no BYE-message.
Here is example of that kind of message:
10 headers, 0 lines
Sending to 192.168.0.32 : 5060 (non-NAT)
Transmitting (no NAT):
SIP/2.0 200 OK
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP
