winbind group membership
Hi. FreeBSD 8.2 Samba 3.5.11 from ports I have an issue with group membership. id shows only small part of the groups a user is member of. I'm aware about UNIX max group issue, but this isn't related to it - for example for a user which is member of the 6 griups id shows only 3. Although wbinfo -r shows correct number of groups and wbinfo -G is able to successfully translate UNIX

Hi all, I have currently been using the book Modern Applied Statistics with S from Venables and Ripley. At chapter 6 on Linear Statistical models I wanted to produce the plot as shown by "Figure 6.1" using Whiteside's data. xyplot command seems not to work on my version of "R"(version 1.7.0) running on different environments (Win XP, Win 98 and Win 2000). I then used the

mtext with at=NULL
Hello, in the help of mtext I found "at: If ?length(at)==0? (the default), the location will be determined by ?adj?" But if I use mtext( "hello world", at=NULL) there comes the following error message: Fehler in mtext("hallo Welt", side = 3, adj = NA, at = NULL) : 'at' mit L?nge 0 angegeben So the help says it is ok to use at with length(at) == 0 but if

samba4 and squid with NTLM auth
Hi. Samba-4.0.7 FreeBSD 10.0-CURRENT Besides serving files I'm using Samba to authenticate users in the Windows AD with squid. After having issues with samba 3.6.16 I decided to see if samba4 will fit me more. I was surprised, but I found that Samba 4 is fully functional in my environment and is nearly production-ready. After that I tried to setup squid to use samba for NTLM authentication.

Fwd: Download Asterisk
No it's not broken, I just did a CVS update recently. Try downloading from CVS and then and if you have problems quote the error messages in your e-mail. --- "Lic. vfs_recycle. Behaviour on modifing a file.
We have a samba share that is not used very much and when it is the files are not be modified very often. The share will hold sensative information and it is vital we can see what information the file contained for auditing purposes. I am not sure of the behaviour of the recycle bin when the contents of an existing file are modified. I am told that modifing a file actually deletes the original

vfs_recycle on samba 4.3.9 as DC reset permissions
Hi, I set up an Ubuntu 16.04 machine with samba 4.3.9 as DC. Everything works fine. I created users and groups with the Windows RSAT tools. I also set different group permissions on some shares over Windows. My Problem is now that I tried to enable the samba recycle bin: [mytest] path = /data/samba/mytest read only = No vfs objects = recycle

vfs_recycle permission bug?!
Hai Marco, Can you check this acl and attr are these installed? type acl type attr Or just run : apt-get install -y acl attr Try this : chmod 1770 /srv/work/.cestino/ Which sets : "creator Owner" (1), Owner (7), Group (7), World (0) So the owner and groups can create anything but your enforcing "creator owner" Then set: recycle:subdir_mode = 1700

vfs_recycle folder limit management
Hi all, Running SerNet Samba 4.0.9 on CentOS 6.4 serving as an AD DC and fileshare for XP clients. Added recycler per the example at https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions to my smb.conf. Works great. My concern is that the recycle dir will eventually grow large. vfs_recycle's docs mention a parameter for limiting individual file sizes, but what's a best
