Samba and Cisco's WebVPN
Hi All, I'm posting this just in case someone can tell what's going on with samba that would prevent this from working. Cisco has the ability to see a smb share from their webvpn product with CIFS. We can browse windows shares but not samba shares. The following log outputs are from my ASA firewall. I know these are cisco logs but I'm hoping a lightbulb will come on for someone. The

Hi All I am using the samba 3.0.14a RPMs installed on SuSE 9.2. I have a PDC running on one machine, using tdbsam as a backend - this has been running fine for months. I am not trying to set up a standalone server in another office, which should authenticate with the PDC using winbind, as per the "The 500-User office" chapter of samba by example :

Previously (with bsd style printing) i was able to browse and delete active printjobs, stop and activate printers from within the win9x/winnt boxes. After changing to plp this is no longer possible. The printjobs themself are still printed. Some output in the log.smb (with debug

Having a problem ...
Running a Windows 2000 domain; recently we've made some security changes to deny anonymous users from being able to get at our user list. It would appear that one of my Domain Controllers hadn't been rebooted after that security change, and now that it has been rebooted, I can't mount smb shares off of one of our if the security setting is in place. Wrong password, Win10 not using SMB3_11?

I tried changing this user's password, and was able to connect by using smbclient, and I was also able to map this drive using the user's username and password on my own windows 10 workstation. Also; # wbinfo -a username Enter
