samba and failover (drbd + heartbeat)
Hi, I've setup two server A + B (debian etch) with drbd + heartbeat in active/passive mode. If the primary server A fails, the shared storage is mounted on B, the virtual ip A-vip moves to the new primary B and samba is started by heartbeat. This works well, but I'm not sure which samba files should be identical on both server. Both have a dedicated machine account at the moment.

Looking for Asterisk+Pacemaker+Corosync+DRBD example
I'm trying to setup a pair of FreePBX-4.211.64 boxes using Pacemaker, Corosync, and DRBD. All the examples I've found so far use Heartbeat, but Heartbeat is not in the repositories and doesn't want to compile from source. Does anyone have a working configuration they can share or a tutorial they can point me to? Also, what does drbdlinks bring to the party? Isn't just linking

[LLVMdev] FORTRAN compiler status?
Dear LLVMers, Does anyone know what the latest is w.r.t a FORTRAN front-end for LLVM? Is anyone expecting to have typical f90/f95 programs compiling to LLVM this year, or next? (I'm aware of the "NAG hack" and various other f2c-type approaches, but they give me a strange feeling in my tummy.) Duraid

[LLVMdev] FORTRAN compiler status?
I just noticed this - I can't promise any particular amount of TLC, but I'll certainly be giving the Fortran front-end some attention as soon as LLVM moves to gcc 4.2. For future reference, does anyone know of a good free Fortran compiler test suite? Cheers, -mike On 5/14/07, Duncan Sands <baldrick at free.fr> wrote: > Hi Duraid, > > > Does anyone know what the

Environment variable with key ID in it?
A couple of years ago I submitted a patch which exported the SSH public key id to the user environment. My reasoning at the time was that I wanted a way to set up a particular environment when I connected to an account that was shared among several different users. That patch was never accepted, I don't recall if it was because you could use the "user environment" functionality or

Patch: Set SSH_AUTHKEY to key id used to authenticate.
Attached is a patch which sets the SSH_AUTHKEY environment variable to be the remaining data at the end of an SSH key which is used for authentication. The motivation behind this is that there are time in which it's useful to know who is on the other end of the connection. For example, if I log in as root on a box, I'd like to be able to configure vi-specific settings, while another user

CentOS 4.5, kernel-2.6.9-55, NTPD trouble
Following the update this morning, NTP is failing with the same symptoms that I saw several years ago (pre-CentOS, I believe) when Anaconda mistakenly blessed my ASUS A7N8X, Athlon (CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2600+ stepping 00) based system with an SMP kernel. The symptom is that NTPD never establishes sync with a server, showing over the top jitter values. [root at mavis log]# uname -r

Multiple concurrent rsyncs: an idea...
Yesterday, as I was still waiting for a large rsync mirror to finish, I was thinking that it would be interesting if you could run multiple rsyncs and have them cooperate to mirror a repository from several different sources. I think a close approximation should be fairly easy to do, but I just won't have any time to do it. My thought is that it could be implemented fairly inexpensively by
