Is it posible to force Windows 2000 to send print job name?
Hi,
I need to log print job's. But Windows 2000 send me only 'Remote Downlevel
Document' as a job name (%J macro in print command). (I don't have other
Windows system versions to test it there, but from Linux}smbspool command)
it works fine - job name is "Remote Downlevel Document + job name"). Is
there any possibility how to force (or get) print job name from Windows

[LLVMdev] Reassociating expressions involving GEPs
Hello,
We've run across the following missed optimization: in the attached
loop (addind.c/addind-opt.ll) there's a lookup into an array (V) using
an indirect index (coming from another array, WI[k]) offset by a loop-
invariant base (l). The full addressing expression can be reassociated
so that we add the offset l to V's base first, and then add the
indirect part. This makes

Outlook .pst on a samba share; do or don't?
Hi listers.
People here are trying to push me into moving the Outlook .psts on a samba
share for back-up reasons. I'd like to hear your experience about this: is
it feasible in the size of 20 users with 400...800MB each .pst? Any special
settings on samba side? Something special that I should pay attention to? Or
is just "NO"?

Scripting with smbpasswd
Hi All,
I'm writing a website on which users can change their Samba-password.
I therefore use the smbpasswd-utility which I execute through the PHP
function system (or exec, it doesn't really matter). I have to use the
-s switch
for smbpasswd to enable it to read input from STDIN, which I redirect to
read the information from a file.
I execute:
/usr/local/samba/bin/smbpasswd -r

OT? PDF printer driver for automatic deployment
Hi,
I've got a printing server running Samba 3.0alpha21 (on Linux). The
client machines running Windows 2000 are producing PDF files by printing
to a "virtual" printer on the Samba machine. The printer driver shall be
installed from the Samba server on demand. I need color output, b/w is
not sufficient.
Everything works fine, i.e. the PDF conversion process and the automatic
driver

Gigabit Throughput too low
Hi list,
I have been desperately trying to increase the transfer rate for a Gigabit
ethernet connection between a Fedora Core 2, Kernel 2.6.x Intel-based
Server with a Samba Version 3.0.3-5 and a Mac OS X client.
Transfer rates for Gigabit should do around 30 MB/sec
my transfer rates do only around 10 MB/sec - with no significant
difference between reads and writes.
as the networking is

Transferring the printer database
Is there a way to transfer a Samba printer "database" from one version to
another? I tried copying the .tdb files from v2.2.6 to v2.2.8pre1 but it
didn't seem to work. Some sort of upgrade path is needed here - it's a lot
of work to start over if you've got a lot of printers.

Help with reconnecting a faulty brick
Hi everyone.
I'm running a simple Gluster setup like this:
? * Replicate 2x1
? * Only 2 nodes, with one brick each
? * Nodes are CentOS 7.0, uising GlusterFS 3.5.3 (yes, I know it's old,
I just can't upgrade right now)
No sharding or anything "fancy". This Gluster volume is used to host VM
images, and are used by both nodes (which are gluster server and
clients).

In fact, what would be the difference between reconnecting the brick
with a wiped FS, and using
gluster volume remove-brick vmstore replica 1 master1:/mnt/bricks/vmstore
gluster volume add-brick myvol replica 2

another question on shapefiles and geom_point in ggplot2
Manuel:
I changed your variable names from x to 'long' and y to 'lat' on the
riqueza_out.csv file.
The code below should do what you want. Also, since the legend title is kind of
long, I broke it
down into three lines so you can see more plot area. I am cc'ing the other
groups so more people
use it if needed.

LDAP violation ?
Hi everybody,
Sorry to bother everyone with probs that have certainly been solved a
hundred times ...But I'm getting nutz about something not working for
several days. The solution may (sure it is, in fact) be easy, but it's
not clear anymore for such a Samba newbie like me.
Samba version = 3.0.2
Running on Linux Mandrake 10
I went through to whole install process to have my Linux

zero line
Hi all,
I´m plotting cf (with two axis) and addind a shaded color up and down on
the 0 line x axis (tfr1 is the time). The thing is that when I plot this
graph adds a line up on the "first" plot.
I hope you can understand what I mean.
How should I erase this sencond line, it is suposed they have the same
data? Why zero line doesn´t complete the shaded area?

Re: follow-up
.RData files are *not* machine-independent! Thus, it doesn't mean the
file is corrupted if it won't load on another machine.
If the work in the file is quite valuable, you may wish to send email to
r-devel at stat.math.ethz.ch where the R hackers hang out. [I used to hang
out there, but have been trying to work on my dissertation instead! The
patch I gave was one I needed to load my

Prevent total volume size reduction
I have a question regarding total volume size of a mounted GlusterFS
volume. At least in a simple replicated volume (2x1) the size of the
volume is the one of the smallest brick. We can extend it live by
extending the corresponding bricks, and the GLusterFS volume will
immediately appear bigger, up to the size of the smallest brick.
Now, I had a problem on my setup, long story short, an LVM
