[PXELinux 5.01] BUG: "unable to locate configuration file" if directory tftpboot/syslinux exists
Hi,
I'm using PXELinux (on Windows NT5.x, with Windows NT5.x tftpd and the
PXE server included in the "Windows XP Embedded Remote Boot Server").
This works well here since more than 10 years now.
Recently I created a subdirectory "syslinux" in my "tftpboot" ... and
PXELINUX failed with the message "unable to locate configuration file".

[Patch] rsync-2.6.2: Allow 'port = N' in rsyncd.conf
Hi,
If anyone is interested, the included patch to rsync-2.6.2 allows you to
specify the port number for an rsync server as a global option in
rsyncd.conf with 'port = <N>' (where <N> is your favorite port number).
Note that this parameter only takes effect when the server is started, not
when clients connect. Also, specifying the port in rsyncd.conf takes
precedence

Problem that I have is that, when setting up the rights on a directory, and

after a while the rights are no more here, and I have to set them new...
Hope somebody can help me...

Join 2012 Server R2 as member to NT domain
Is it still possible to join a Windows 2012 Server R2 system as a member
to a 'pre-NT5' Samba (3.6.23) domain controller? The Windows 'Domain
Change' GUI errors immediately after failing the SRV lookup for the AD
server. Even with the SRV record in place, the GUI fails trying to
connect to the non-existent LDAP port.

How to see folders/subfolders/emails through imap
Hello all,
I am trying to do something very simple - at least thats what I thought.
I have some fs, it contains folders and subfolders with email files ordered
like maildir. Now I try to set up dovecot on top simply to let some imap
account watch these email files. But I cannot see any folders at all. I can
create new folders and see them, but I cannot create subfolders as subdirs

Proper wayto do disk replacement in an A1000 storage array and raidz2.
I''m using ZFS and a drive has failed.
I am quite new to solaris and Frankly I seem to know more about ZFS and how it works then I do the OS.
I have the hot spare taking over the failed disk and from here, do I need to remove the disk on the OS side (if so what is proper) or do I need to take action on the ZFS side first?

finally resolved some of the niggling issues that have kept tng from
working: in particular, thanks to karl denninger for helping track down
"invalid users = root" in the [global] section which stops root from being
able to access anything, including being able to add user accounts!
tng is now back where it was about 6 weeks ago:

nmb errors overflowing onto console
Hello everyone,
I have a curious problem that seemingly came out of nowhere. After
searching through the archives, I see that I am not the first to discover
this problem, but so far, no solution has been found. In June 99, Mark
Drummond mentioned a similar problem.
Recently, I started seeing nmbd errors on the console. A little poking
around revealed a log file full of these errors. Below is a

This is my third mail in the last three months and still no-one has
answered, while I received some comments from other users about the fact
that the problem is known. So if you have any info on how to fix this,
please post a message :-)
Here is the problem:
I used to share a vfat mounted partition with other collegues through samba
(2.0.7).
Everything worked and still works fine with kernel
