Problem with rpcclient and installing PS-Driver
Hi,
i want to install the Adobe-PS Drivers into samba, so that the Clients
can download them.
I first had Samba 2.2.3 from debian woody, where the cupsaddsmb program
did'nt work at all.
I the upgraded to samba 2.2.7 and tried to install all the drivers by
hand using rpcclient.
Now I've got 2 problems: First one is that I cannot deinstall the
various drivers from the servers list. When

I added printer drivers for each printer via APW facility. I can add drivers

Authentication problem
I've got a RH9 box with samba 3.0.0 using winbind and pam for windows
client and user authentication to a 2003 AD DC.
This morning I started having problems with a few shares that then
cascaded into a larger issue of being able to authenticate any client to
the machine.
I configured Kerberos with my realm information and have added the
machine to the domain several times and have been

samba 2.27 as print server
I'm running Samba 2.27 on RH8 system. I've got samba as the print
spooler for Windows XP clients and using winbind as the user validation
against my Win2K DC. Permissions on the spool directory are root root
with the sticky bit on. Clients can delete their own jobs from the que,
but the spool directory is not being expunged of print jobs and the last
job constantly displays in the client

3.0.14a: print driver deletion w/ rpcclient
W/ Samba 3.0.14a I've installed an apparently buggy printer driver (for
a Brother HL1670N). From a Win2kSP4 client:
- log into the samba server as me (the printer admin)
- go to Printers share
- right-click on printer, go to Properties
- it bitches about print driver not being installed, asks if I want to
install it, I click No
- go to Advanced tab, click New Driver
- proceed to add driver

Treat an Unquoted Character String as a Data Frame
I have several datasets that come from different studies (fv02 and fv03),
they represent different levels (patients and lesions), and they have
different patient populations (itt, mitt, mitt3). I wanted to write some
code that would pass my three requirements into a function I wrote, produce
the output, but not have to require me to also pass a unique plot title or
output filename for each

Letter instead of A4 with driver installed via Samba's Point'n'Print
Hello everyone,
I have already asked for this the cups list/newsgroup, but it seems to me that this might be more a question about Samba. According (hopefully) to these howtos I have setup printers and prepared their cups postscript drivers to be installed automatically via Samba and the so called Point'n'Print method:

[Bridge] Making a bridge work without source address spoofing
So, I agree, the curent wireless card I have been given does not allow source address spoofing, but I still would like to use bridging. I wonder if anyone has tried modifying the bridge code to encapsulate the actual packet in some way so that the desired source address can be preserved?
I am thinking of something like duplicating the ETH header, adding it to the beginning of the packet, so that

xend start (not building br0 or vif interfaces)
I''ve just gotten xen-4.0.1-rc4-pre on top of Ubuntu 10.04 using the 2.6.32.15 kernel source installed and booting into Dom0 thanks to you guys!
I was under the impression that xend would setup at least a basic bridge interface and some vif interfaces automaticlly.. I don''t get any of that. And when I try to start xend manually after reboot I get:
