Delete directories without browsing them
Hello, I make my production backups with Rsync. Here is an example of my backup tree on the destination server : /backups /2013-04-03 /2013-04-02 /2013-04-01 /2013-03-31 /2013-03-30 /2013-03-29 At the end of the backup process, I upload a logfile in the backup directory and delete oldest backups. For this, I use an include/exclude file, for example this inclexcl.txt

categorized complete list of R commands?
every time I read the R release notes for the next release, I see many functions that I had forgotten about and many functions that I never knew existed to begin with. (who knew there were bibtex facilities in R? obviously, everyone except me.) I wonder whether there is a complete list of all R commands (incl the standard packages) somewhere, preferably each with its one-liner AND

[LLVMdev] Another missed optimization opportunity?
I was suprised to find that some bitcode I'm generating isn't getting optimized. Here, I'm doing the equivalent of "myarray[5]++" (on an "extern int *myarray"), repeated three times: @myarray = external global i32* define void @update_array() #0 { %1 = load i32** @myarray, align 8 %2 = getelementptr inbounds i32* %1, i64 5 %3 = load

How to let users create/delete files but not dirs
Hi, the subject says it all. I want to allow my Windows users to create and remove files in a particular directory on my Samba share, but they should not be able to create or delete sub-directories of that directory. The reason for this is that I do not want users to mess up the directory structure on that share, which happens just too often right now - thanks to drag and drop. I looked at

Dovecot deliver logging problem and procmail
Hello! Currently I'm trying to integrate dovecot's deliver program into procmail. So basically I'd write a patch for procmail to deliver not directly into the mbox file but delivering with the dovecot deliver program. Do you think this is a good concept? For testing I use the commands discussed below. Currently I'm having a problem that deliver doesn't recognize the

Move mail in Maildir without IMAP
I set-up some spam/ham learning folders where a crontab entry learns the mail and them moves it do a different Maildir folder. Unfortunately, since it has a different dovecot-keywords file, any imap flags get changed to unknown-0, unknown-1 etc. I tried the following, but it didn't work mv "${src_ham}"/cur/* "$dest_ham"/new/ cp "${src_ham}"/dovecot-keywords

using alternative models in glmulti
All, I am working on a multiple-regression meta-analysis and have too many alternative models to fit by hand. I am using the "metafor" package in R, which generates AIC scores among other metrics. I'm using a simple formula to define these models. For example, rma(Effect_size,variance, mods=~Myco_type + N.type +total, method="ML")->mod where Effect_size is the

[RFC] New pass: LoopExitValues
Hello LLVM, This is a proposal for a new pass that improves performance and code size in some nested loop situations. The pass is target independent. >From the description in the file header: This optimization finds loop exit values reevaluated after the loop execution and replaces them by the corresponding exit values if they are available. syncing from the "file-list" option
Hello, all. I'm a begineer for rsync and please help me. I would like to sync data between two ftp sevrer. If one change/add/delete data usingf ftp, other ftp server should sync from the main ftp servert. In my thought, full data directory syncing is too slow, so if the client uses " --files-from" option, sync speed more fast than full data directory syncing. file list is
