Hi!
Are there any plans to extend the special variables you can use for ldap
query strings (%u,%n,etc)? For instance, say you have an ldap schema
like this with multiple domains in a single top-level-domain:
dc=domain_1,dc=tld_1
dc=domain_2,dc=tld_1
dc=domain_3,dc=tld_1
dc=domain_4,dc=tld_2
dc=domain_5,dc=tld_2

Samba4 ClassicUpgrade post-migration issues
Hi there,
I've successfully migrated an extremely large Samba3 domain to Samba4.
The platforms involved:
Samba files (/var/lib/samba) copied from a Debian 6-based Samba3 PDC
with an LDAP backend
Debian 7 with Samba4 installed from backports, with slapd installed
locally (and now disabled).
However, a number of things appear to be wrong:
dpadmin at samba4-dev0:~$ host -t SRV

Re: Xen on production enviroment
Hi John,
And an excellent stab that was.
I have two network interfaces. eth0 is a 3Com with a
Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5701 Gigabit Ethernet chip,
and eth1 is a 3Com 3cSOHO100-TX Hurricane chip.
On the gigabit card, I couldn''t test anything, because I could not
find out how to disable/enable/check checksum offloading. Using
ethtool gives: Operation not supported

Issue installing guest domain using fedora core 5
Hi,
I''m using a Dell 360 workstation with 1 Gig of Ram.
I have installed successfully the Domain_0 kernel 2.6.17-1.2157_FC5xen0,
upgraded all packages and restarted the box with this new kernel.
when I run xm list, it shows this domain running happily.
I have built a guest OS install tree, with the new guest Domain_u kernel
image, appropriate for this latest kernel. This tree exists on

Samba smbpasswds and local Linux passwords
Hello all,
I am new to the list and am in need of some assistance:
Does anyone have a current solution that they are using to synchronize the
smbpasswd's on samba 3.0 with their local /etc/shadow passwords on RedHat
3.0 ES? I need a way to do this for the existing users on the system and
for new users that get created nightly on the systems. Our users do log

Wine controls without wine?
What are the odds of getting windows controls out of wine? I'm looking for
widgets that closely mimic windows common controls without the need for a
monolithic window re-implamentation.
I have a unix port of a program and all I want is to use my current gui code
with haveing to re-add all the windows stuff. I've tried using wine before

want to know if I have the right ideas from my reading of the docs:

Samba and Linux Passwords Backend
Hello All,
I am sure that this has been asked probably a million times on this
list, but for our particular setup, I need to see if there is a way to
have Samba authenticate its users based upon the Linux accounts password
file?
The reason is that we have other applications all working together and
most of them are also using the Linux password file which make the
process of maintaining

Hi,
I'm having problems while working with large data sets with R 1.5.1 in

First of all I tried to run this function on computer with 256 MB of
RAM. I increased memory limit of R with memory.limit() up to 512 MB. I
