Can't Find Password
I am running Samba 3.0 HEAD with LDAP 2.0. I have ldapsam enabled buy when I try to log into my server from a W2K machine I get the following in my error log: sam_password_ok: NO NT password stored for user root. The log file shows that Samba successfully retrieved the root posixAccount record and the log displays some of the data (i.e. home directory) that is stored for root in LDAP. The

Samba + LDAP = Misery
I have been working on this for weeks now and feel like I am at a dead-end. I am using Samba 3.0 (Head) and OpenLDAP (2.0) and smbldap-tools 0.7 and cannot join either a Linux machine or Windows 2000 machine to the domain. If any of you have some ideas they would be much appreciated. Highlights: - I have a root defined (UID and GID of 0). - Trying to join the domain will successfully add my

login failed
Hello i've samba 3.022 with a ldap 2.2.26. I've no pb to join domain with my win2000, but when I reboot I'm reject (bad username ...). I find in debug that the first param sent by the client was the login and I think it must be the machines name. Any idee ? -- Denis Rohou Service Informatique ville de Lannion 22113 lannion 02-96-46-64-22

Samba 2.2.5 and openldap 2.1.2
Hi, I'm having problems with the current samba releases (2.2.4 + 2.2.5) and the current openldap (openldap-2.1.2-1) redhat rawhide RPMS. I suppose samba is having problems with LDAP v3, because when I try for example: [root@fatboy /tmp]# /usr/local/samba/bin/pdbedit -l Bind failed: Protocol error in syslog appears: Jun 24 00:52:55 fatboy slapd[14370]: connection_get(16) Jun 24 00:52:55

Samba 3.0.24 handling LDAP responses incorrectly
Hey list, Recently I've gotten my Samba PDC to successfully use an OpenLDAP backend, while using the smbk5pwd and ppolicy overlays for OpenLDAP. However, Samba appears to incorrectly handle responses from LDAP's ppolicy overlay, even though it very clearly receives them. If I enter in a password (be it through Ctrl+Alt+Delete or when a password expires and the user is prompted at logon)

samba + openldap + tls
Hi, I using openldap 2.0.23 and samba 2.2.4 on a Redhat 7.2 Linux distrib. I've compiled with ldap support dans It works fine in clear mode. I've configured unix auth. in order to use ldap on TLS mode, and it works also. When I try to use TLS more (or SSL on 636), it doesn't work. LDAP doesn't seem to have an error (see logs below), but samba tells "Failed to issue the

Can't Find NT or LM Password
I am running Samba (from CVS source tree) using OpenLDAP for user authentication. I keep getting NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE message when trying to connect with smbclient. I have debugging turned-on and see: [2003/01/28 13:25:04, 3] auth/auth_sam.c:sam_password_ok(260) sam_password_ok: NEITHER LanMan nor NT password supplied for user testuser1 So it appears that for some reason the password

Embed R, and provide a function to user scripts
Hello, I'm not sure how to go about this. Suppose I have a function SEXP boo(SEXP x){ //do something } Also, I have an executable which embeds R in itself. I would like to provide a R function to user code to call that calls 'boo' e.g ##user supplied expression that is given to me x<-1 boo(x) One way is to create a library with function boo that performs .Call to boo, but is

Finding the entry point function in a LLVM IR
Thank You David and Mats for the reply, The reason I need to know that main is the entry point is as follows : I have a dead code elimination pass that removes the function call for boo. boo was initially called from the main function , but since the return in the main function has no dependency on boo, boo function call is removed. Now I want to remove the function definition of the functions

creating library
Hi, I'm able to create a library with R CMD INSTALL cmd, etc... I'm just wondering.. is it possible that when the user says library(boo), it runs some initialization code? I have a dumb R file that is: print(2) boo <- function(x){} when I R CMD INSTALL the library, I'm able to see 2 in my unix console.. but when I do library(boo) in R afterwards.. I don't see

What does a dead register mean?
Hi, My understanding of a "dead" register is a def that is never used. However, when I dump the MI after reg alloc on a simple program I see the following sequence: ADJCALLSTACKDOWN64 0, 0, 0, *implicit-def dead %rsp*, implicit-def dead %eflags, implicit-def dead %ssp, implicit %rsp, implicit %ssp CALL64pcrel32 @foo, <regmask %bh %bl %bp %bpl %bx %ebp %ebx %rbp %rbx %r12 %r13 %r14

Joining WinXp to Samba PDC
After trying to get WinXP (Pro) to try and find my domain so I can log on I've finally done it, but now when I try and join my WinXP client to the domain, windows asks me to enter the username and password of an account with permission to join the domain. Now which account would this be?? root doesn't work, neither do my other samba users. Do I have to create another user or something?

Finding the entry point function in a LLVM IR
If you want to know which functions are (or may be) called from where, in the entire program, then you will need to do some sort of "LLVM-IR Linking" (there are tools that will do that for you, such as "llvm-link"). Of course, even then, there's possible cases where it's impossible to know whether a function is ACTUALLY called until at runtime - function pointers,
