Dovecot Bulletin
I'd like to revisit and old post if I may, will/does Dovecot support the old qpopper "Bulletin" ability? Basically I need a simple way of posting bulletins to all domain users. Qpopper maintained a bulletin db for each user and sent them the next bulletin in sequence. Thanks in advance Kevin

Voice Based Bulletin Board.
First, I did my noob homework and found a thread where this had been discussed to some degree in a thread titled "asterisk based bbs" in 2004. I've got a question or two that that thread didn't address. I want to set up a voice based BBS. This will barely stray from the text based bulletin board paradigm we have now. Users will still go to a web page. There, they will still

As a long term user of qpopper with bulletins, I'd like to know if the bulletin feature is planned for dovecot? I really miss bulletins :-), this is very convenient way of providing information to users. Best regards, MU

Bulletin Board for CentOS
Hello, I'm looking for a simple web-based forum for Centos 3.x or 4.x. I've used phpBB before, it was a sysadmin's nightmare :-( This time I want something - that doesn't need a security patch every other week - that ships in a nice RPM so I can patch/upgrade easily Any suggestions, free or commercial? Enabling KSM with ksmctl under Centos 5.4
Are their any good guides out there on how to use ksmctl to enable and tune KSM performance on Centos/RedHat At the moment the only guidelines I can find are from the following OLS paper, plus the Linux Kernel Docs. * http://www.kernel.org/doc/ols/2009/ols2009-pages-19-28.pdf * http://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/vm/ksm.txt On a basic dual core testbed with 4GB Ram and 4-5 VMs I've

cannot change user password with CTRL-ALT-DEL
I've been running samba (currently 2.2.3a-13 for Debian) as a PDC with W2k clients for over two years. The system was up and running quite well for a long time. A couple of days ago, I installed the following MS-patches: MS04-011 MS04-012 MS04-013 MS04-014 MS02-011 Now when users try to change their password from the w2k clients using CTRL-ALT-DEL, a popup window appears saying:

Initial Sequence Numbers (ISN) vulnerability
FYI On the ISN vulnerability I found a really good article on Initial Sequence Numbers (ISN) vulnerability and according to this article all Linux Kernels after 1996 are not affected by this vulnerability. http://www.linuxsecurity.com/articles/security_sources_article-2968.html I found another article that stated : Operating systems that have been reported to be safe from practical attacks

Graphical presentation of logistic regression
Hi, I wonder if anyone has written any code to implement the suggestions of Smart et al (2004) in the Bulletin of the Ecological Society of America for a new way of graphically presenting the results of logistic regression (see www.esapubs.org/bulletin/backissues/085-3/bulletinjuly2004_2column.htm#t ools1 for the full text)? I couldn't find anything relating to this sort of graphical

(PR#1289)
Dear all, I've found a bug report for R when installing it on an AIX5.1 system. There's a followup (number 4) that comments a segmentation fault on R when quitting "q()". I'm using a newer version of R but on the same operating system and I obtain the same error. There was a way to solve this problem? Best regards and thanks, --

SMB protocol security flaw
Hi, It's (possible|probable) that the above was included in the list postings in February last; at that time I hadn't even begun with Samba (use it in production now :). If so,please point me at the archives, if not, could someone please comment? >From the last SANS NewsBites (apologies for the line break in the URL for those using 76-character text MMUAs): WORMS, ACTIVE EXPLOITS,

Clock Sources under Centos 5.5
I'm wondering under what circumstances the kvm-clock source is exposed to a guest. I've got a bunch of KVM servers running Centos 5.5 and some of the guests have are defaulting to jiffies or apic whilst some are picking up kvm-clock. Looking at the virtual machine definition file there doesn't appear to be a difference, Any where else to look? Steve -- Steven Ellis - Bulletin.Net

Question on the XSS Security Patch
After reading this security bulletin: http://groups.google.com/group/rubyonrails-security/msg/7f57cd7794e1d1b4?pli=1 I am a bit confused as to which patch I should apply. My application is currently running on a frozen copy of Rails 2.2.2. Reading the bulletin it appears that I should instead the 2-2-CVE-2009-3009.patch for the "2.2 series" of Rails. However, the patch introduces a
